Question: Orc Racial Trait affect Warlock Pets?

Does the 5% damage impart on warlock summons like it would on a Hunter's pets?

it does, but only for pet melee damage. unfortunately the imp doesn't see these benefits.

Its only a 5% boost, but I really think Orc racial traits are the best fit for Warlocks. Undead are stylistically great, but I don't think Warlocks gain anything inherently from them that another class doesnt' also get a benefit from.

Shadow res is good, as well as the Will of the Forsaken, I think both are about on an even keel when it comes to usefulness. But since I will be running Orc hunter, my friend will do Orc warlock so we start in the same location.

5% is really quite negligible...even if we were talking about a pet doing 100 DPS (I believe the succubus is about 75% of that under the best of situations and fully buffed?), we're only talking about an increase of 5 DPS...and if you're using the Voidwalker to tank, we're talking about far less than even that 5 DPS increase.

You are correct--but both Shadow resistance and Will of the Forsaken benefit ALL classes equally. That was my point. The Orc is one of the only classes that has a Warlock / Hunter buffing trait.

Shadow rez is good, sure, but its not any better for a Warlock than for, say, a Warrior inherently.

Not disagreeing with you, Death. My argument is more along the lines that no racial trait, IMO, is really earthshattering...there are ones that are more useful but all in all they are just icing on the cake, really. And once we get a few expansions and end-game stats we'll start to see that becoming more and more true.

Currently, the best racial traits for warlocks would be gnomes, in my opinion.

I'm still rolling an undead warlock for the "cool" factor, but for a truly max/min type of player, a gnome warlock would probably be the most uber.
