More doomguardyness
well i would like to crunch some numbers on the doomguard stats
it has come to my conclusion from visable stats(health and mana) that the Ritual of doom summon has about2k less health then the curse of doom one i found that my ritual doomguard has 15k and my curse doomguard 17k us there a difference in the TYPE of doomguard or each indevidual oomguards stats slightly different becuase you arnt summoning the same one? what i want to deduce from the help of my fellow warlocks is ifthere is a difference between the CoD summon and the alter one i would also like to find out that if this is not the case if the doomguard that IS summoned has random varying stats?like mabye a realy high level health and low mana then the next one would have a substanial dps boost in comparison to the other plese i would like to be informed on the doomguard logic becuase lets face it we are are only JUST starting t get interested in him again ![]() cheers fr the help plese post yur comments and findings ![]() |

Re: More doomguardyness
were you wearing different gear while getting the doomguards? The doomguard scales with gear stats now...

Re: More doomguardyness
I've had doomguard procs and ritual summoned versions and they both had circa 19,000 hp.
Seems fairly consistent in my experience. |

Re: More doomguardyness
i have found them to fluxuate depending on summoning means
i WAS wearing the same gear each time ![]() i have a theroy that the ritual one has less health because the enslave does not reduce its atack speed and so in order for blizzard to equalise the odds they must have made the curse one more capable of surviving due its attack speed(thus dps) loss, say about 2k health more |

Re: More doomguardyness
Strange.. I made tests, you can also see a post of mind with all the pets' stats, and the two methods were equal. To answer other things, it is not affected by demonic pact as the talent says, but it also seem to fail (and this seems a bug) on demonic and imp demonic tactics, and fel empathy.

Re: More doomguardyness
Just out of curiosity, is it worth it for me to go do the Doomguard quest now? I never went and completed it since he was practically useless (I have only been playing since March of this year) and I never felt the need to do this.
And if it is worth it can I solo this quest? Thanks. |

Re: More doomguardyness
I would do the quest anyway just for giggles or to kill time if nothing else. Yes you can solo it and to actually be able to use a doomguard is a nice change, however i have mixed feelings about that as the only time i had it work (since i wasn't aware of the dismissing the pet first bug) was in ZA when CoD got the final kill and out pops a doomguard.
I was like "Sweet!" then he proceeded to break his chains every 2 min. or so (sometimes less than a min. after i re-enslaved) which didn't go so well in a boss fight. I had thought i orig. read somewhere that we were going to have a guarenteed enslave time which would make him quite viable, however, i have not experienced that as of yet. |

Re: More doomguardyness
just throwing it out there how about the CoD doomguard has a 50% chance of droping a demonic figuerine and thus reason to kill him when you are done with him
