Re: My minion can't swim anymore

I have noticed similar issues. Clicking the follow button as mentioned seems to work, and will quite often make my pet appear magically by my side.
Similarly, I play with a hunter, and they have been having issues where their pet gets randomly stuck in the ground... Thank god I haven't had anything like that, but it is a big issue for them as they are BM.
As for pets appearing with low health when you dismount, I get this all the time, but it only happens for a fraction of a second before popping back to full. I've always put it down to the pet appearing with the health given by its own stamina, then the health granted by my own stamina is added on top when I dismount. The fact that you have to manually heal it yourself is well messed up tho O_o

Odd buggy pets Hehehe I love the one where you go to fight something and you have your FG/VW out and all of a sudden with almost no warning he gets super critted or something and he dies. So you resummon another one and take on that elite again with no problem. VW barely gets a scratch in him I've always wondered if I should take my pets to the BS every once in a while it feels like they have Broken there armor and you have to summon a new one to get the armor back.

This seems to happen to my imp all the time, but I imagine that he is a bit easier to heal than the FG :P

Re: My minion can't swim anymore

A new one I've seen since Wrath has been the weird leashdance my minions do with occasional mobs.

I send my FG (for example... happens with VW too), and cast a couple dots. The dots get the mobs attention and they start heading for me. The fg hits the mob and gets aggro (he gets a hit on before my dot's first tick). The mob then starts running back to the spot he was idling on when I dotted him up. Sometimes the mob runs past that point and occasionally the mob comes back to within mellee range of me. All of this with my dots ticking and my FG hitting him. The look like they are playing tag.

Re: My minion can't swim anymore

The FG often simplifies this by intercepting and stunning the mob.

But for when that doesn't happen, the pets have AI that tell them to try to get behind the mob. Combine this with some lag and you get the weird "your it" dance you describe.

I hate it when that happens. I generally find hitting control+2 then control+1 (follow then attack) seems to sort it. The pet running away, even momentarily seems to reset the positional reset if you see what I mean?
I used to get this sort of thing happening before wrath tho so have gotten pretty used to yanking my pet.

Re: My minion can't swim anymore

Same problem here ! I noticed this also at the Murlocks beach, Felguard seems immobile and poofs from time to time behind me. Sometimes he is unable to attack underwater even if he is right in front of the mob.

I suppose the patch generated some pet pathing problems, coming from EQ this is something I experienced pretty intensively and learned to live with

Re: My minion can't swim anymore

Yeah, i had the felguard swim out and eturn to a shard to me a couple of time to.
Very annoying when a you just dotted up some orca's or frogmen just a few moments earlier.
Thank god for quick summoning at those times, but even had my freshly summoned guard poof right out of sight.
grrr, had to actually use my soulstone again for a change.

Re: My minion can't swim anymore

I've been noticing bugs on ice, too, as in the kind you find along the coasts of Borean or around Indu'le village. Whenever I walk onto them, my Felguard will usually follow me. However, when I send him to attack, he'll charge the target, and then go running back to the corner of the ice where the ice, water, and shore meet and then run onto the land, back down onto the ice and engage the target.

Other times, he just stands there at the junction between the ice and shore and won't move until AFTER the fight is over.

Don't even get me started on issues I've had with my demon in the water. I often have to dismiss the demon and then resummon before I fight.
