I'm not sure if the Felsteed quest has actually been implemented yet, or if it's still a case of "speak to the guy and wha-la" :dontknow:

Either way, you need to find someone with a quest near your trainers. In Beta for my Human Warlock I got the quest from a guy in Ironforge who told me to run to Ratchet, and at Ratchet I obtained my Felsteed.

The Felsteed quest is, indeed, hardly a quest at present. I just got mine a few days ago and all it involved was talking to the guy in Ratchet from whom you got the Felhunter. As much as I like free things, however, I'd like them to at least make you do something (though perhaps more fighting and whatnot and less globetrotting than is involved in the stupid felhunter quest).

I heard the epic mount, level 60, is a quest.

Are you sure the epic level 60 steed (nightmare?) is even in-game, yet? I have heard nothing about that thing other than its name so was thinking it was maybe something that hadn't been implemented, yet...

Felsteed quest

I got it in rachett from either Strahand at the tower. Talk to him twice at level 40 and you get the horsie.

No killing or travel required.

Okay so let me see if I can get this right. We get to summon a mount at level 40 but I am confused at the type of mount we get so please bare with me. :?

1.) I have seen several Warlocks from level 40-47 with a mount that looks like what I consider a Nightmare, (Flaming eyes and flaming hoofs), but I guess it is not because you all are saying that this is not the Nightmare. So with that being said, if it is not the Nightmare then is this just the normal look of our summoned mount and the Nightmare will look different?

2.) If we are getting a Nightmare at level 60 exactly what is the difference between the two mounts and when will it be implemented in the game?

Thanks for you help in advance!!

When will it be implemented? If it's not, currently, (and I do not know if it is or is not) then nobody *knows* when it will be implemented.

The horse you are seeing level 40+ Warlocks riding is the "Felsteed"...though they also have the option of riding their racial mount (and, eventually, other races mounts or so we have been told). No clue what the nightmare will look like though I suspect it won't look much different but will maybe be bigger and will certainly be faster.

At level 60, we can also pay 1000 gold (unmodified by faction) to get our racial epic mount but the nightmare should also be an option with a quest to get it.
