Sucubus is Queen - No room for argument - Learn to use it!

Sucubus is hands down the pet of choice for travelling, pvping, or instances because of her completely under rated Seduction spell.

I think it's safe to say that hunters and Rogues are Warlock bane. Hunters with their lightning fast attacking pets and auto shot combo make mince meat out of a warlock who can't cast through the pet slashing, and Rogues who find a drinking/eating warlock and stun them instantly sometimes depleting their entire health bar before they are even able to get a single spell off. From all my pvp experiences I have solo'd those two classes out as the ones I dislike going up against most.
None of your other three pets are going to do jack all against either of those two classes so we are left with our faithful companion Juk'Doom the Sucubus.

Vs. a Hunter
1)First Mez the Hunter with Sucubus
2)Fear his crazy pet
3)Healthstone
3)Immolate (pet attack at same time)
4)Insta Cast Corruption (5 points affliction)
6)Shadowbolt Shadowbolt
The key is too unload enough firepower on him before his pet even becomes unfeared. (Shadowburn is a nice finisher if you have it)
You win 9 times out of 10

If he starts running give chase and thrown on Curse of Agony and just follow him putting isnta corrupt and agony on him until he's dead

Vs. a Rogue
1) You are usually stunned by the time you see a rogue so it's all up to Sucubus' Mez
2) Usually you come unstunned half health with not much time left on Sucubus mez
3)Healthstone
4)Fear (Pet attack same time - to do this you have to click pet follow then attack again because she's stuck in mez mode)
5)Immolate
6)Insta Corrupt
7)Shadowbolt
8)Fear again
9) Shadowbolt until death


Instances

At 34 I was doing SM Library with a Druid Warrior and Rogue, Mez pull with Sucubus and back up your group with damage when needed but main priority is watching the adds to re-mez with sucubus. Haha who needs a mage anyways???

PvP 1 vs 2 or 1 vs 3

Depending on how good you get with your sucubus and how many things you can do at once it's completely feasible to take out a group of three as long as you have a big mana potion rdy to consume.

1 vs 2

Sucubus makes this easy. Most often you are up against a Paladin so for examples sake we'll take a Paladin and a Mage. Paladins take forever to kill so you want to get him out of the fight as soon as possible. Not by killing him but by immoblizing him. Get the fear off on the non paladin as soon as possible and then sucu mez the paladin, make sure you move far enough away from the paladin that if he breaks his mez you have time to run and wait for his "immune" garbage to wear off. As soon as the paladin is mezzed you start inflicting damage on the "other". Start with immolate and re-fear when neccesary. It's actually not that hard if you keep your cool. Fear kite the other and keep paladin on lock down with mez. If however the paladin uses his ability and comes charging after you immune to spells then you need to mez the non paladin and run from the paladin until you can fear him. Just "juggle" the two back and forth using fear kite and sucu mez and you will piss some alliance people off reallll bad.

3 vs. 1

Same thing as two vs. 1 just a lot more circumstancial. You can't win 3vs.1 if one is a hunter because of his pet. To do 3 vs. 1 you need to fear "juggle" and depend on not getting resisted. It works real well against people a couple levels lower than you. By all means it's not very often that someone can take down three people vs 1 but I have done it a number of times and this is how I do it.

1) Mez Warlock/Mage 1st to avoid getting sheeped/feared if not then paladin
2)Fear whoever can do the most damage to you immediately (usually rogue)

By now you should have taken some damage from person #3

3) Fear person three, use a healthstone and stick corrupt and agony on person #3

4) Person #2 is now coming back as you can only have one person feared at a time, running backwards while facing him try and get a corruption off and then refear

5)Person #3 is now down 1/4 life and is coming back at you as his fear is broken. Re-fear him

6) Person #1 should be about rdy to break the mez, remez with sucubus

7) Fear person #2 and immolate if enough room

8) Refear #3 who should be at half life - refresh your curses on him
and wait for person #2

9) try and get as many shadowbolts off on persons #2 and refear

10) Back to Sucubus mez on person #1

11) Person number 3 should be nearing death now so you will want to stand toe to toe and get off two shadowbolts + shadowburn if you need it

Now you are left with two and very little mana, you will need a mana potion here for any chance of killing the last two.

Now you are in the above 2 vs 1 Scenario but with one person at half life by now. The whole process takes a lot of concentration, potions, healthstones, insta cast w/shadowburn and probably a reincarnate somewhere in the middle or end. But with the sucubus who effectively takes a player out of combat for as long as you need the 3 vs. 1 is completely doable. Try pulling that off with the voidwalker or imp lol! Felhunter is just an ugly mutt imo. But i'll take one vs. a warlock or mage in a duel.....that's about it.

If he moves at all to get room to use bow .. he cant auto you . Follow him and use wand . With a Bandage , Health Stone and Heal Potion you can outlast him . Your Shadowbolts will be slow and get interupted a bit , but when they go through its a big chunk . If he goes melee , then get Suc on him and fear his pet .

since when is Succubus Seduce under-rated? It may be her only trick, but its a damn good one. I've never heard anyone (including me, who doesn't like her) say that Seduce wasn't useful.

Granted, I might not use her in a PvP where I wanted heavy front-loading damage, but if I had a long series of fights to do? I might.

I wish seduction was better or that I got better luck on the random number generator. I had so much trouble mezzing with her in RFK tonight that I just got rid of her and used VW to off tank instead. Worked better and let us preDoT the extras as well.

Of course the creeps were higher level than the succubus, but still I was very disappointed.

#2 Why did you stick your pet on his pet? it dies when he dies, so fear it and keep your pet on him

I'm level 26 so just got Seduce but I haven't gotten the chance to use it yet. I've read several threads where people have stated this about the succubus' mez. Can someone explain exactly why a succubus can not mez one target then attack a different one? I could understand that restriction if Seduce was a channelled spell, but I don't believe that it is.

First thing I would do is turn off autocasting for Seduce. When I want the succubus to mez, I manually click the Seduce icon. After that, seems to me like all you need to do is target the mob you want the succubus to mez, have her mez it, target the mob you want her to attack, tell the succubus to follow and then tell her to attack. Let her swing a few times then retarget the first mob and tell her to remez it.

Someone with more experience with the succubus please explain to me why this won't work.

No , im not wrong . By sick Suc on his pet I mean mezzing it . If Hunter goes melee with you , then fear his pet and sick Suc on Hunter . Read and understand before you chime in .

Oh I agree it's a great pet and why I go through the Imp and VW alot more I'd be a fool to say the Sucubus sucks. It's another case of not how well the bear can dance it's the fact it can. Beats Magician pets by a mile thats for darn sure.

Kebkin... the succubus cannot do anything else while she is seducing a humanoid.

Panthaz.... succubus can only mesmerize humanoids, so having the succubus mez the hunter's pet is not an option.
