Pet Spell Resistance
Something I noticed, but don't have the time to actually go into the game and check anymore due to final exams...
Does the Imp have a greater casting success rate than the VW? That is, does it get resisted less often? It seems that at my current level(45), my imp(imp.imp*3, imp.fbolt*2), gets its firebolts resisted far less often than the VW gets its torment resisted(no talents), and even less often than I get my searing pain, and my mage friend gets his fire spells resisted - annoying, and the prime reason why I switched from affliction to destruction spec. If the VW isn't going to be able to taunt monsters off me, I'm not gonna use him, and if Affliction isn't giving me significant damage bonuses, I'll go with the tree that does. Whatever, I don't want this to be a talent tree thread. Basically, do our different pets have different resistance rates on their spells? Anyone know this? I know I certainly started to feel that way when I saw resists flying off my VW's targets. What a waste of mana... |

Pet Spell Resistance
I noticed a trend that my imp was landing more spells than a higher level mage was. Death mentioned something about pets being different than characters. I think there may be modifiers for certain spells, but I don't think anybody can say for sure at this juncture.
