Two (or more) pets at the same time.

A little background on me - i'm a 33 warlock with 190 engineering. I recently learned how to make Compact Harvest Reapers (engineering), and was curious on how they work... so I went out in desolace to fight with my voidwalker, and right-clicked my Compact Harvest Reaper. A little level 35 mini version of the Harvest Reapers from Westfall appeared, ready to do battle beside me.

I still had my voidwalker!

The Harvest Reaper doesn't have controls, i.e. you can't make him passive... he'll fight whatever agros him or you. The bonus, however, is that you can have him out while you have your warlock pet. He does really good damage (at least for now while I'm 33) and I was able to complete an escort mission I'm sure would have been way harder without the little guy. I'm sure that with the Harvest Reaper I would have been able to complete quests that would have required another party member under normal circumstances.

The next test will be to see if I can summon multiple reapers at the same time... It would be really neat to have a little mechanical army for 10 minutes I can't wait until higher levels to try other crafted pets.

P.S. It's pretty cheap to make a harvest reaper -- 4 iron bars, 2 bronze bars, 2 wool cloth, 2 medium leather, 1 gold bar, and 4 heavy leather.

Wow thats almost neat enough to make a gnome warlock just to have engineering (ya I know anyone can do it but I just feel it should always be a gnome thing).

I suppose I can field the questions on the reaper...

There reaper is an instant cast summons. The listed time for its operation is 10 minutes, or until destroyed. There is no recast time. Each reaper is single use so if your previous one is done (or destroyed), you just summon another the same as the first, instantly.

FYI if you use the engineered Remote Control, you cannot charm a robotic creature while you have a warlock pet out.

at one point i had imp, scarlet monastery whistle-hound, as well as a mechanical squirrel out all at once. only the imp was controllable, the squirrel was just a follower while the hound was attacking everything in 30 yard range.
