Re: Pet buffs
I only know that I watch for Pally buffs and make sure my Felguard gets Might instead of Kings. Otherwise, I want all the strength and attack power buffs for him. I also try to make sure I have scrolls for him (STR) and Spicy mammoth treats.

Re: Pet buffs
I make sure my imp get's as many casty buffs as humanly possible. Just make sure to un-shift him when the raid is buffing up. |

Re: Pet buffs
Don't want to steal the thread, but what purpose does phase shift serve anymore? |

Re: Pet buffs
I guess if you want to keep blood pact up but are worried about losing your imp then you keep him phased out. Some fights your imp can be a liability if you don't know how to manage the guy. For instance during the Auriaya find in Ulduar a stray pet can cause excessive pouncing of the defender... I keep my imp phased in, but I'm just throwing that out there lol :P In Naxx I have found that if I keep my imp phased out in the slime tunnel leading up to Gluth, he is less likely to get bugged and jumps down with me. For some reason when he is taking damage from the slime he freaks out at the ledge and just sits there...i either have to go w/o or summon a new imp. I have my imp phased in almost all of the time to get raid buffs and because he is always attacking anyway. Whenever I see a warlock with their imp phased out not getting raid buffs I let out a long deep sigh. Warlock pets are all linked to a particular class when it comes to Paladin buffs. So if they are up and able to receive buffs (i.e., not phased out), then they should get all the raid buffs. I think that all the warlock pets get the same pally buffs except for Felguards and Doomguards which are linked with the Warriors. If there aren't any warriors in your group you may want to bug the pallies to buff your Felguards and Doomguards. Otherwise they get what you get. Kings, Mark of the Wild, and Arcane Intellect are what I like best on my imp because that increases his crit which increases my crit through empowered imp. |
