Is the Fel Hunter Working Now?

Not sure if this is another stealth change, but the Felhunter's devour magic seems to be working now. Sort of. I was partied with a rogue guildmate in Burning Steppes, and he became afflicted with Flame Buffet. I had my fel hunter out for spelllock abilities, and decided to hit Devour Magic on a whim. It didn't work, and I wasn't surprised, so I tried targetting him and hitting it again and, sure enough, my pet was healed back to full and the 30 second timer of flame buffet was gone.

Maybe we need to target the debuffed target for devour magic to work properly?

yeah you have to target them

I used him ALOT in uld ( I think I forget) where the dwarves would cast the spell bomb where anything you cast would do like 400 damage to the caster. My pet could clean the groups healer off and everyone else when it refreshed and it didn't kill him because he always healed himself.

it also only devours magic buffs/debuffs/effects. there are a few things that mobs can cast that seem like magic effects/debuffs but are not tagged as anything. one of the effects a searing ghoul (western plaguelands) casts on you cannot be consumed as it is tagged as masgic/curse/poison, it is just an effect.

Devour Magic is great, but I do not think i can handle Devouring ever mobs buff, and every Debuff it may give to each party member while DOT'ing, Life draining, Searing pain/Shadowbolting, Health Tap/Dar Pacting and micromanaging my pet without suffering a hit in my DPS O.O

Its much better to just kill the mobs as fast as possible in most cases.

Devour Magic has been working since release As far as I know.

Dont Tell Anybody. I really freaking mean it.

The Felhunter can eat the Paladin's Damage Shield. Both of them. I've found that almost nobody on my server knows this, and a lot of paladins have met untimely ends when they have attacked me. Flaadhon sees a lot of action in PvP zones.
