Pet Demon Books

If I didn't buy my pet any Demon Books and there's now level 1, 2 and 3 available can I just buy level 3 or do I have to buy all 3? Is there any benefit to buying all of them? I'm 25 and just went to the Pet Trainer for the first time the other night.

Buy only the highest level you can use. You really do not need the lower ones.
