Does the infernal require a quest
A few days ago I hit level 52. So last night I decided to get the quest for the infernal. I check IF (I'm a gnome), and none of the usual warlock NPC's had a quest for me. I then tried the Slaughtered Lamb. None of them had a quest for me either. So is the infernal just a random drop from Blackrock spire or is their an NPC that I need to search for? Also where is Blackrock Spire?
Has anyone got the infernal yet? If so what do you think? From what I've read it is a pain in the butt to use and requires a reagent that costs 1gp as well as a soulshard. I can't wait to try out this summon ![]() |

It does not drop in BRD, but in blackrock spire off of scarshield warlocks the item is called a grimore of inferno, and binds on pickup. Blackrock spire is in the burning stepps at the top of blackrock moutian in the North western part of zone. Burning steppes is north of lakeshire/redridge thru a black gate. I would not reccomend going here till you are at least 55+ and have a good group. The reagent needed to summon is an infernal stone which only costs 45 silver if your honorable reputation with the city populance. The infernal itself is rather a letdown as the only way to really use it is to run behind enemy lines and suicide and let it rampage without your help. Enslave demon can be dispelled. The infernal fequently turns non hostile and poofs. This spell has a one hour refresh time.
Infernal also has no abilitys besides perma immolate and a high amount of armor and hp. hit in the 200s range. the high end "pets" really need work to make them anything but things only warlocks bored out of their minds would try to get and use. Though they are powerful that non hostile poofing bug can cost 45 silver, or 10 minutes or so spent trying to get the annoying curse of doom to spawn a doomguard. |

Does the infernal require a quest
Just hit level 50 8) (with a /played time of a few hours under 13 days)
Anyways, I knew the Infernal would be level 50 pet, I've read about it, but had forgot all about it being a drop only thing, not trainable. Therefore bumping this thread. However, I also would like to know some more about how to get the Grimoire of Inferno. First of all, you mentioned scarshield warlocks, in plural, can I assume that it's a freaking random drop again? *sighs deeply* (can you tell how much I hate random drops?) Second, what level will these mobs be, how tough? Elite / Normal? Any possibility to solo? Any possibility to solo ones way to these mobs? More info needed! :D Thanks in advance ![]() |

no. unfortunately these are 54-55 elite mobs in the BRS instance. the Grimoire of Inferno has less than a 4% chance to drop each time. plus these Warlocks are never alone.
there's no way you'll be able to solo these, especially with his friends around. |
