Felsteed in SFK

When I was helping a paladin in guild get something for a pally quest in the stables of Shadowfang Keep, i looked in one of the pocket things and saw a felsteed. It looked like a regular horse, no glowy eyes, no fiery hooves. So I attacked it and 3 level 20 horses jumped me...

Well just wondering if at level 40 you had to come here and somehow corrupt it there or bring it to someone to corrupt it.

Probably a regular horse. If you go to brill you will see an undead guard riding one of them. What I think they did is just use the model for the felsteed and just removed the flaming effects from its hooves and eyes. Now there may be a possible chance it would be used for the quest to get your felsteed later in the game but as of right now it is really nothing special.

(un)fortunately the quest for the felsteed isn't really implemented yet. all you do is go to ratchet and talk a person, then talk to them 1 sec later and you're done.

I hit 40 the day before they end the European beta, and it's been a good surprise to see I could get my horsie the instant I talk to the guy in Ratchet :p

I even thought it was a bug :roll:

That would be neat.

Right now, the only interesting point about them is that they occasionally drop Felsteed Saddlebags, a 10-slot container. I still have mine... I mean, really, they're Felsteed Saddlebags, how cool is that?

Sorry to bump the thread a bit but have a question for you all. I went into SFK today and saw no fel steeds in the stables. Is it possible that fel steeds don't always pop each instance or did I miss them somehow?

I did find the stables and saw only 3 shadow chargers. Is there a 2nd set of stables somewhere in SFK where you saw the fel steed or was it indeed the stables where the hammer is found for the paladin quest?

Sorry to ask but I so want the felsteed saddle bag. Nothing cooler than a felsteed bag to go along with a fel steed at 40.

Must've been in the same stable as the pally quest item (only reason i went in there was to help out a pally finish the quest)

Saw 1 felsteed and 2 chargers at the time.
Watchout though, the horses are family (mobs i call who ask other yellows [nonhostile] mobs of same group for help)

Thanks for the reply Mized. I guess I got bad luck. When I went in I saw 3 chargers. Guess felsteeds share the spawn table with the chargers. Sucks that the respawn timer is long if there is even one in SFK. Guess I gotta keep going in and pray the steeds come out.
