Stupid pet question
I've been playing my warlock solo pretty much his whole life (he's 37 now) and have used the VW as my primary tank/pet. Now, however, I've gained enough levels to group with my gf's mage and have begun to test drive my other pets more frequently. She's still a few levels higher than I am, so the VW often has trouble keeping agro over her. I find the imp is nice for the damage+stam+fire shield, but I'm having some difficulty working with the succubus.
In order for her to seduce adds do I need to target the mob I want her to seduce and then manually cast the spell? Or does she do it on her own? At times she will automatically begin to seduce an add, other times she'll just attack it. Her crowd control feature would be really nice for us in many situations, but I'm just not getting the hang of how she works or she just likes to do whatever she wants...lol. I'd appreciate any help, because I'm feeling kinda dumb about this. I really love my warlock and want to be sure I know what I'm doing. Thanks in advance for any assistance ![]() |

Re: Stupid pet question
Please correct me if I am wrong:
The automatic Seduce of the Succubus will work only if: - She is attacking a target AND - Another humanoid attacks you (not your gf, you) So manual selection seems the only way :( About the VW, I had trouble keeping the aggro on an Improved VoidWalker when soloing and just using DoTs and Drain Life. So teaming with an aggro magnet... err I mean a Mage... with a higher level, it is no wonder that the blueberry cannot keep the aggro. Either use it only for off-tanking, or don't use it at all is my advice. Cheers! |

Re: Stupid pet question
Ah ok. Well, now that I think about it she does seem to only seduce when the situation you've outlined happens. I'll just have to work on that manual casting. Thanks for the info
![]() I've tried to convince my gf to lay off the huge booms for a bit until VW buils some agro, but that gnome just loves to nuke! lol The VW does a good job of offtanking for us and can tank when she waits a bit before nuking. The 2 of us did really well in Uldaman last nght, even managing to get Ionaya darn near dead (that's one big gal). We'll have our revenge in a couple of levels :-p |

Re: Stupid pet question
One way I have found to have a little control over this is to cast CoShadow on the mob I want her to control (gaining me aggro, but not an amount that can't be overcome). Then let the Bimbo loose on it. I turn everything but Seduce off auto-cast when I do.
It works a reasonably well, but the best way is to just manually do it. |
