Duo warlocks...

My wife and I are leveling 2 warlocks together, and it seems to be a very nasty duo, as we are now in Redridge, at level 18, with only our 22+ quest left to do. :/ (starting to get harder).

My question is, when should we see the ability to start using two different pets?
Right now we both use VW's as we can both handle "solo pulls" allowing us to finish off quests better.

When will see an advantage of 1VW/1Imp, or 1VW/1Sucubus or which ever combo.

Further, what combo's of pets do you recommend?

Imp is always good for Fire Shield and Blood Pact, Succubus can be good if you are on a PvP server for unwanted jumps as well as doing a nasty bit of damage, Felhunter again would shine on a PvP server.

I've thought about this a bit, but regarding builds, not really just pets..

Personally I think one warlock going mostly destruction

The other going mostly affliction,

They both dot down the mobs/players to a weakened state, then the nuker finishes them off.

This would be great for PvP with a group: 3 Affliction, 2 destruction locks. ~4900 damage from Curse of Agony's alone, followed by a rapid take out with immo/conflag/shadowburn combination

I'm thinking one of you with the imp, the other with the VW. The VW lock is the tank, and the imp lock is the caster damage. When a lock pulls with the vw, if the lock does nothing but health funnel and cow, the vw taunt will hold the mob's attention and will leave the vw's master alone. Then have the other warlock pull mobs off the vw through damage. Succubus is great but usually only when soloing, and getting one mob at a time. Since there are two of you warlocks, you're better off having the VW around to take the beating and kill a few mobs at once.

Decide between yourselves of someone to choose imp and who to do vw. Since you both are doing the damage, you should let the vw take the hits. When you reach 30, one use felhunter and other of thier choice (too much detail, not enough time T-T)
