Succubus vs Felhunter
So I i'm level 29, about to get dogdog, and i've been using succubus exclusively since I got her.
I'm full affliction specced so my kills usually go like this: Pull with Curse of Agony, send pet, hit with Corruption(instant) Immolate Wait a few secs for succubus to hit a time or two more, if I cast anything or start wanding I pull aggro. SB if Nightfall procced, otherwise start wanding. After a few wands I pull aggro and by the time mob gets to me it's half dead or worse, tank it dead. Succubus is usually at 3/4 to full health after this fight, i'm full mana, and lost maybe 5-10% HP. No downtime or at worst downtime to bandage myself or pet. Now my question is with my build would it be better to start using felhunter over Succubus considering the only thing she really provides to me in PvE is dps. Will dogdog be any better at holding aggro? Or compareable DPS? |

Re: Succubus vs Felhunter
The Felhunter does worse dps and thus is worse at holding aggro. For soloing you'd better stick with succubus if you want performance..
However; The Felhunter has some nice skills (when he gets them) and together with his high magical resists they make him a good choice versus casters (mobs or players). |

Re: Succubus vs Felhunter
I agree, the felhunter doesn't hold aggro as well but works well against casters. Though its not really useful until 38+ when he gets most of it's abilities. i would stick with the succubus for now, though the VW is a good choice for an affliction warlock, if he is trained in improved taunt he can hold aggro quite well and has high HP and armor, great for taking on multiple mobs at once.
