Infernal pet

Anyone have a quick easy way of getting rid of Infernal ? I got mine this weekend and he's a little tough to shake. It seems you either send him into battle and run off or perhaps banish him and run off ?? Any quick tips other than those ? I'm mostly solo, so trying to kill him would not be my first choice.

Interesting that dismissing him simply turns him loose instead of destroying him. Seems like that might have it's advantages....like sending him into a crowd of enemy, let them get aggro, dismiss him then summon succi....like having 2 pets at once. Havent tried it, but it sounds doable.

Re: Infernal pet

The easiest way that I can think of is to command the infernal to stay and they ride/run away. Once you get far enough he goes poof just like any other pet that falls behind due to lag or terrain.

Re: Infernal pet

Gezzz.....thanks Ziblette, how brain dead of me. My pets are ALWAYS in follow. Though I know stay is there, I have never set my pet to stay for any reason. I should have thought of that

Thanks.

Re: Infernal pet

I only use the infernal in pvp, and I get rid of him either by killing him, or banishing him and running off. For me, dismissing him and letting him loose on the enemy isn't an option, because he might hit my team too. Sometimes I get killed before my infernal does, so he winds up loose on all of us anyway. Killing him isn't so hard. It is very inconvenient when he breaks enslave if the enemy is upon us, but he's worth the risk.

Re: Infernal pet

Does that really work, summoning a new pet without drawing the aggro from the infernal?? If so wouldn't you in theory be able to keep sending new infernals into the enemy crowd? I rarely use any other pets besides the imp anymore - being in high end pve raids most of the time - so I havent used the infernal or the doomguard much. Just sounds too good to be true :-)

Re: Infernal pet

I beleive there is a one hour timer that stops us from spaming the infernal, and doomgard.

Re: Infernal pet

That stay command also comes in handy for when you get close to the 5 minute time limit for an enslave. Tell the infernal/doomguard to stay then get to max range for a quick Curse of Shadow and some uninterrupted casting time for your next enslave spell.
