Cos+enslave= Longer infernal enslaving?
Greetings everyone, Im new to the den Its a pleasure to meet all of you.
Anway to stay on topic, I am a 49 warlock about to turn 50, and I have heard a few things about CoS increasing the duration of enslave demon, More specific the infernal. Also How viable is the Infernal In Pvp? Is the stun worth it? And average damage for a SL/MD warlock. |

Re: Cos+enslave= Longer infernal enslaving?
CoS definitely extends the length of time for demon enslavement (on Satyrs at least). With CoS, they usually break at between 4 and 5 minutes. Without, they will resists enslave or break early a lot more.
As far as the infernal goes, it's situational - I love him for world PVP when I get jumped. One way or another, my opponent will die. In group PVP (battlegrounds) it really depends on your group. He can be a life saver in some instances and be the worse thing in the world in others. Examples: Good: I was level 51 and got stuck as the only one guarding the mine in AB. There were 4 alliance coming down the hill - so I drop the infernal on top of the healer. I die a few seconds later but my Infernal keeps beating on the alliance - I rez in the mine graveyard, lure the infernal to the flag and banish him. Then I die again, get a lucky short time rez run out, banish him again - still on the flag. With the infernal (and some luck) I managed to defend one point solo. Bad: In a long WSG match, we were zerging and the alliance was turtled up. We tried four times with no success. So, I break out the infernal for the next zerg. We zerg, I die, then my infernal starts attacking the rest of my group, killing the guys in the tunnel before the alliance even see them. Then an alliance warlock banishes him in the tunnel so everyone who goes for the flag gets a little AoE and loses their stealth. The stun is nice but I don't think I'd rely on it for Crowd Control or anything. The infernal is nice because he puts out enough damage for him not to be ignored - someone who is focusing on killing you has to do something about him or they will die. |
