Inferno quest failed...

So after reading a few comments left by other warlocks I decided to try this solo. I'm level 52 and figured I could handle it. After 5 to 6 tries Kroshius despawned. I must have had the worst luck in the world. I enslaved a 53 infernal and it broke everytime in under 2 minutes, and I have Improved enlsave 5. The closest I got him was to about 25% health.

At any rate my question is, do i have to abandon this quest and start all over? I no longer have the fire to reignite the remains of Kroshius, but the quest does not say failed. When I talk to Niby he just wants the core.

Thanks,
Sylis

Re: Inferno quest failed...

I tried to enslave one of the surrounding infernals too and found they broke too quickly (even with CoS). I'd highly recommend getting a group together - this is a really hard quest to solo (at least it was when I tried it). I've found I have better luck with enslaving if I am the same level or higher than the demon. If they are higher than I am, they seem to break earlier.

Re: Inferno quest failed...

I was worried that I had to redo the entire quest, but much to my suprise when I talked to Niby he handed me the fire. (Of coure I didnt notice I had the fire until I was down in Jaedenar fighting Legionnaires again, doh.) Anyway I went back, and decided to try soloing Kroshius again. This time I made sure to find a level 52 infernal to enslave, and that worked much better. I killed him on my first try. Hard to believe 1 level makes such a huge difference with enslave.

I also got a little suprise when i turned in the core. Niby summoned "El Pollo Grande" to attack me. A huge level 50 chicken...

Re: Inferno quest failed...

just completed the quest at 52.

did it with a 55 holy spec paly. first 2 attempts was a wipe out. was fustrated but decied to give it one last try.

fear --> shadow bolt --> fear again. there's no diminishing returns. pally just heal me and tank for me while i try to fear him again when the infernal came too close.

long battle thou. bring mana pots.
