Felhunter Problem

Hello, I need help. I just spent 4 hours running around getting all the stuff for the felhunter quest, handed it all in, they started the summoning circle, then nothing appeared. I waited, it disappeared, and now it is telling me I need to get the book again. Anyone have any advice or can tell me what I did wrong. I followed the guide to a T, it said when the circle appeared, to summon my felhunter, but I have no summon spell for him yet.

when the summon circle appear you can use the items he gave you to summon the felhunt. even if you fail, it shouldnt tell you to get the book again though. you might try to delete that quest and try ask him again.

which items? He has a grey question mark, the three summoners have the rods already, but I didnt see the book in my inventory after clicking on the complete quest button. He just walked in the hut, and started summoning, giving me no further instructions. If what I think your saying is right, the book was in my inventory and needed to be clicked while they were summoning? If that is the case, and I no longer have the book, where do I pick up the quest from here? I have to go find those three items again to combine the pages? The thing in Thousand Needles, Southshore, etc... ?

I petitioned in game, but have a feeling they are going to tell me to redo the quest. Anyone else have this issue ever? By the way the guide read, they summoned it for you to fight, and that is what I was expecting. I guess my question now is, where do I pick it up from here?

From what I remember (it's been a while lol), he goes in, does a quick summon and walks back out. Then I'm pretty sure you need to talk to him again and he'll give you the book you need. It's also possible that he will do the summon thingy and then you'll have the book and can summon it; i don't remember exactly. I followed the quest on the site here my first time doing it and I never had any problems. When in doubt, check your quest text- it usually tells you in black and white what you need to do. EQ should learn a thing or two about this, where quests are harder to decode than <hard to understand foreign language>. I usually suck at figuring out quests and stuff, but the WoW quests have been the most enjoyable surprise yet.

To be honest though, the felhunter quest isn't too bad, so re'doing it shouldn't be a terrible burden. I waited until I was level 36 to do it anyways because they're pretty much worthless in grinding and pretty much similarly worthless in pvp without spell lock. They don't tank as well as a voidwalker, and they don't put out as much dps as a succubus/imp. Their dem. sac is laughable at level 30, so pretty much no matter what your spec is you're not going to find a good use for him until you pvp later on.

Anyways, the quest is ez mode once you get to 36 so i'd just do that, only reason to have him sooner would be to just have every pet asap, imo.

Thanks for the replies, and I decided to come here and post my results so if anyone else has the problem I did, they won't waste as much time.

First off, what I didn't do correctly was click on the book to summon the felpuppy while they put the glowy circle on the ground. Then he walked back in place and I couldn't get him to do it again. I thought I needed another book from Southshore, so I went there and started killing murcs looking for it. After about a half hour of not finding it, I looked in my bags and there it was... ugh.

Went back to ratchet, abandoned quest, and he had an exclamation point on his head again, talked to him, he started the summoning ritual and I clicked book this time. A lot of wasted time, but, got puppy solo at level 30 so I was kinda proud.
