how much stamina from bloodpact?

Hi all

I am pet specced and have 3 points in improved imp, how much stamina should i be getting out of the imp's bloodpact at 60?
When I mouse over the icon on his bar it says I should be getting 54, but the buff is always 42??
Am I missing something or is this just bugged?

People often ask about 3 values for Bloodpact; the spell tooltip, the buff tooltip and the actual amount of stamina they receive. The Warlock often gets more stam then on the spell tooltip due to the 15% increase from Demonic Embrace. The improved imp talent doesn't change the blood pact tooltip from 42 stamina but the increase is definately there, so don't sweat. <Thanks to Emoroan for the information>

summoning the imp gives me a 42 stamina increase...should it not be what the tooltip says, 54?

Does it actually give you only 42 points? Have your tried it naked and checked the character sheet. Id do it, but im not able to log in right now.

lol ok, i tried dismissing and summoning imp naked, I gain 59 stamina...?! put clothes back on and checked again...59 stamina it is...heh, so where does the extra 5 come from?

sigh, I give up on blizzard's math...lol

The tooltip on the buff is wrong. The tooltip in the spell book should be correct.

I have improved imp as well and that has always annoyed me and puzzled some of the warriors in my group.

ok one last question in regards to this (this is why I even bothered to look at it, hadn't really paid it any attention prior) a hunter buddy has seen the buff from the imp at 72 stamina (showing that on the buff itself)...how would this be possible, barring that my hunter friend wasn't delirious from too much pvp and imagining things...?

If so Id believe thats where it comes from.

This is an old old bug that I first saw with my druid over a year ago, and has probably existed since beta. Any buff, Blood Pact, Mark of the Wild, whatever, that can be improved via talent points will not have the improvement show up in the tooltip of the people receiving it. The values will still apply correctly, and you will get the correct tooltip in your spell book. Blizzard know about it, and it's currently in the too hard basket.
