Felguard and the PvP environment (multiple threads merged)
*** Multiple 'PvP Felguard' threads merged. Please be aware of the dates of some of the replies. See end pages for most up to date assistance. *** Well fellas I'm new to posting here, but been reading what you guys post ever since I made my warlock some 5 months ago. I just wanted to know your insights going felguard for small scale (mainly 2v2/3v3) pvp goes. Please if you're kind enough use references to 2v2's and 3v3's so I can get a feel for it. Right now I'm destruction but I'm kind of sick of it. Thank you for all the help guys. |

I'm not sure about 2v2 or 3v3 but in AB earlier he was destroying horde that was 3-4 lvls higher with a little dot action he is unstoppable except when banished but by the time another lock cast banish you can dot him then SB away

re: Felguard and the PvP environment (multiple threads merged)
well today I dueled a bit infront of SW(before all the EU servers+wow site went down) and I was basically pwning everything. all you need is soul link up, demonic knowledge and spam your pet attack button, if it's a rogue, death coil, fear and DoTs and you win(works for everyother class aswell)
God, it's so boring to pwn everyone =P |

I'm sorry its nice to Pwn, but wait until you meet some people that know how to play. I'm no stranger to PvP playing. In WoW I was never that active, so im at the bottom of a curve right now. Shallow curve tho. PvP is dead easy, and actually kinda fun now.
You might have been pwning but when people get used to the Felguard and the new Demo Lock, it will be harder. Its hard to Nerf skill. |

BG PvP isn't to difficult. For a real challenge, head outside Org/IF and duel the people that do nothing but stand outside the city gates and Duel in their HW/T2-T3 gear. I thought I was hot stuff till going up against some of my server's former HW's and giving them flawless victories.
Especially the Shaman. -Gritz |

re: Felguard and the PvP environment (multiple threads merged)
My first couple fights I lost, to be expected I figure. No seduce hurt me I had to rethink my tactics.
Earlier today tho I wtfpwnbbq a 59 mage (I'm 53) A shaman came to help me at the end but I had it wrapped up, dots ticking and them at 1/4 or less. Just Curse of Agony, corr, and immo, and a little dancing to dodge his casts. Other then that I haven't had a chance much to 1v1, as I'm usually in AB. These past few days tho I've been getting my infernal and abyss shard as well so I haven't been in the BG much. And it was great to hit intercept and stop that warrior that had just charged me, eat that! ![]() |

re: Felguard and the PvP environment (multiple threads merged)
In Arathi Basin, me and my Felguard held off 3 l60 hordies on our own - they made the mistake of bunching up around him. Cleave *really hurts*.
The Intercept is very useful - you can use it as a spell interrupt on a caster who's trying to do nasty things to you from a distance, or to make that healer squirm. He can easily solo a holy priest without support, especially if he Intercepts them. I've also noticed he seems to draw a lot of fire - not as much as the Infernal, but he certainly dies more often than my imp or succubus ever did. In larger scale fights, he has the ability to be a high impact summon - much like casting Inferno into the middle of group, only substituting the casting for an Intercept/Cleave. All in all: Felguard definately works for pvp. Perhaps not as well as some other builds (I definately miss Shadowburn), but he adds a lot of variety, and all of the synergy powers make my Shadowbolts hit harder than they did with Shadow Mastery. |
