Cloak Pre-raiding/heroics: Get the Deathchill Cloak crafted. The mats actually aren't too bad, probably under 1000g. That's not bad for a top 3 cloak in the game, with no obvious upgrades in sight. Tier 7 raiding: There's no reason to not have the Deathchill Cloak so you can get an opportunity to improve other slots with raid gear. Enchant: Tailoring - Lightweave Embroidery DP: 0 |

Please note this guide is NOT FINISHED yet. However, it's also not been touched for over a month, and Canadianpimp's not replied to any emails about showing it off early. So many people are commenting that they miss the guide, so hopefully they might be able to garner some from the info already done.

Looking at the Gem lists, it seems this guide ranks haste and crit higher than spellpower... this may happen again when we reach T9 gear but not now I think Rutiene could easily repair and finish this, I would hide it until its done however. |

Could I get editing rights to clean it up, or would that not be a good idea? If writing from scratch, I think I'm going to wait until the gear lists for 3.1 are officially released. I've been going through it right now and the DP values are going to change significantly and we should no longer be modeling via Affliction as 0/40/31 is going to be the more dominating spec. The interaction between the new items and the currently available ones will also create an interesting dynamic. (For example: I'm currently exploring the merits of keeping 2 piece T7 vs 4 pc T8.)

Technically it's still Canadianpimp's guide, so I would recommend starting from scratch. Even if you copy and paste the info and it's all the same, needs to be under your name to give editing rights. If you wanted to wait until 3.1, that's cool too. Up to you

May I suggest using stat values from here: SampleOutputPTR - simulationcraft - Google Code Using the same conversion of 1dps = 100 DP values for 53/18 affliction lock should look something like this: int - 21 spirit - 82 spellpower - 159 hit - 194 crit - 76 haste - 98 If that spec isn't too good then of course it could be run with whatever other spec is needed. |
