April Guide Competition

I've decided to alternate the guide competition month to month - one month I will ask for a particular guide to be written, the next I will choose between the guides submitted by members of their own accord. This will hopefully get the ones I want/need written, as well as encourage people to submit something they want to write about. Example: February's guide was a request from me for an "About +Damage gear" guide, and this month (March) I am choosing between the ones already submitted. That means that April... will be a request competition.

Guide competitions normally start on the 1st of the month, but because this months is chosen between those already here, I don't need to wait on something to be submitted and have to choose at the end. So, to help those wanting to take part in the April competition, I've decided to begin the competition early! Also because the 1st of April is never a good day to offer big prizes... people think you're joking! So, let's kick it off now!

April Guide Competition - Am I ready for Kharazan?

Something that comes up A LOT! Is my gear ready for Kara? Is my spec ok for Kara? Do I have enough spell damage for Kara?

It's an instance that a lot of you will have either completed or at least dabbled in, so hopefully there should be a large amount of people able to offer some insight. I'm after a beginners guide - a guide to help stop all the threads asking the questions above. What you put in it is completely up to you, however some things you might want to include:

Minimum stats (hitpoints, +damage, +hit) to make life easier. Explain why they help and why it's best to have that amount.
Good builds to start with. Perhaps even good builds depending on the minimum stats you might have.
Things people can do relatively easy to help themselves improve - gems to get, gear pieces to get, talents to take up.

The layout, wording, and how much or how little you want to include is completely up to you. This guide will be a thread in the library instead of a content page (like the About +Damage Gear guide), so it will be linked to your name permanently. The best guide wins!

Prizes!!

Aah the part most of you are probably concerned about - what's in it for you? This is where it gets fun! For the winning guide there is the guaranteed drop - an official World of Warcraft T-Shirt of your choice from Jinx Clothing! You can choose any T-Shirt in the men's or women's range in your size. But that's not all, every good boss has a chance to drop something epic, and this competition is no different. If your guide is super fantastic blows me away good...I mean really good - laid out perfectly, packed full of information that is well written and perfectly spelt, I will also throw in a World of Warcraft 60 Day Pre-Paid Time Card!

This competition is also a bit of a test. If I do get a really great guide out of it, I will be repeating the competition with other pages, guides, etc. There's a lot of things that need updating, a lot of ideas for new things to add... a lot more T-Shirts to give away!

Ok, so now you know the rules, and what's at the end of it, go get started! The competition will run until the 30th of April. To submit your guide, please post it under the Submit your guide here! section of the forums. If you want to include things like tables which don't show well in the forums, or you want to have images aligned a certain way, feel free to email it through to me in as a word, front page (or similar) document.
