RSS Feeds!
The Warlocks Den now has feeds! I've enabled Javascript, RSS and XML feeds for those who wish to make use of them.
 Feed links Javascript http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=js RSS http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=rss http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=rss1 http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=rss2 XML http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=xml Threads will be returned in descending order based on the date of their creation. Description information will be returned from the first post of the thread. If &lastpost=1 is added to the feed URL, threads will be returned in descending order based on the date of the last post of the thread. Description information will be returned from the last post of the thread. F.A.Q What are feeds? My brain can't think straight, anyone care to write a description for me? Please feel free to reply with any other Q & A you think should be added... Google Gadget If anyone knows how to create a google gadget, I'd love to have one for the site. I know nothing about them and don't have the time at the moment to research and learn. If anyone would like to make it and share for everyone else, please post a reply. Other fun stuff... If there are any other fun stuff like the google gadget but for other sites, please let me know. |

bumping this.
curious does anyone have problems with firefox default RSS reader and the den's RSS feed not updating that frequently? the RSS links seems to lag by a day to a week ( in terms of new / latest post ) =S using RSS 2 as primary ( http://wowmb.net/forums/external.php?type=rss2 ) but I've tested all the others and it's roughly the same problem... this is in contrast to feeds from say ign which updates whenever the site itself updates edit: in hindsight after re reading said posts, I wonder if my usage of the RSS is not exactly what it's intended for. on a personal level I use RSS to keep up to date with the latest news / threads / topics. i have several RSS running on firefox, one of which is the IGN network... perhaps the purpose of the RSS from the den is to tell me what threads are most active since whenever i last visited? i have no idea... I know nothing about RSS feeds, so not going to be much help to you I'm afraid. If there are any RSS feed experts in here, please stand up.
I've looked into some alternatives however, and see if this one works a bit better for you: The Warlocks Den Forums Seems to pull the latest threads. Although it shows the exact same results as The Warlocks Den Forums page does.. Hrm, not sure. Give it a go and let me know what you think... *edit* Not to sure if this works, but if it does, you can now get the RSS feed via email: Email RSS Feed |
