Balroq thinks highly of Akasha

Ah, a fresh start. Just wanted to convey my true feelings towards the Den and it's owner/moderators.

As I've said many times before The Warlocks Den is the best collection of warlock info I have ever come across. I can't imagine how hard working it's owner and moderators are and continue to be. (This comment made also in my original reply where this ruckus started)

In a recent post I tried to make some neutral comments regarding issues that will not be brought up. However I believe there may have been misconceptions about exactly what I was trying to say.

Basically it came to down me saying I may be missing info during my post, and that comment not being taking literally. Well, it was meant literally. I had some notion that maybe there was more going on beyond what I had seen and that turned out to be true.

In the end, I've learned there is no neutral here, Either I support the Den (non-monetary admittedly I'm broke and can barely pay my wow fees) or I becoem some raving mad dumb jerk who gets upset when people tell him to l2p (an abbreviation I hate btw, sounds so cruel). So I'm officially joining the "I support the Den" team. In case you missed the try-outs, they go on everyday on the official wow forums (not that i read them often)

Thanks Akasha, and sorry I didn't know Theleb got his "I moved your post" layout from you so you get my (props) that i originally gave to him and theleb... you i guess get my ... level 28 paladin?

P.S Hes Prot!

I'm slightly confused

It sounds like there's more going on here that isn't any of my business, and I don't want or need to know specifics. But this was posted in a 'public' place so I'm going to comment in a general way.

Balroq, I think it's great that you're a Den Supporter, but your statement that the there is no neutral here is either being misunderstood (by me) or I'm simply suffering from a lack of information; and I can live with a lack info, that's ok.

One doesn't have to agree with everything Akasha or any of the moderators say, which seems to what you're implying if I'm reading between the lines correctly. It's ok to think that they handled something incorrectly. There have been times in my limited experience with The Den when something said by the forum "Elders" has kind of ticked me off. Sometimes it's a tone I'm reading, somtimes it's the content itself; tone, by the way, is very hard to determine in text sometimes, as I'm sure we've all discovered.

Here's the deal though, not only do we not get all the facts in heated issues (as I'm assuming you've found out by this post), but the method we use to express ourselves is highly important.

This is a bit long winded and really isn't meant to be critical. My convoluted point is that there can be neutrality at the Den. I can think Akasha and moderators do a fabulous job and disagree with something they've said, but I'm not moderator so I don't get all the facts, and I can live with that. In several posts I've seen people state that they're "afraid" of the administration at The Den. There's no need to be afraid if we're all respecting each other. I can call some stranger a freak in the nicest possible tone, but I'm still being disrespectful; it's an extreme example that isn't meant to reference any post or poster in specific, but you get my point.

It's just about respecting each other in every way we can

Re: Balroq thinks highly of Akasha

No worries about missing some info. Yes there is a bit your missing so I understand your confusion.

I agree with you that it is possible to be a Den supporter and not agree with everything Akasha or the elders say. I should maybe have worded that in a different way... Something more like:

I made a comment that wasn't completely supportive of the opinions of some of these people (In a very nice and respectful manner) and that was taken as a "Balroq does not support the Den" attack by one or more individuals.

And this was by no means was what I was trying to imply. I was merely trying to come to the defense of someone who looked like they were being attacked un-needlessly. In the end, It was that person who was most likely the issue. However instead of getting a polite "Sorry your missing some posts that have been deleted" I got something else entirely which I thought was underserved (not btw from akasha from someone else entirely)

So now, basically after this official "I support". Im prob not gonna post anymore. Just stick with using the forums for info/macros/news. It's better that way.

Very well said. It made me look at how I post on here again. I realize some of my posts may seem "edgy" or disrespectful, and that is definitely not what I am going for. Respect is the key here. If we all make the effort to respect each other, everything else will work out fine.

Thank you very much, If this is true would you consider deleting the remark I see in my profile when I log into it? This is not meant to sound sarcastic it really does upset me as I try to be polite and respectful and informed with everything I do as well and I can't seem to delete it I don't want the red square forever qq.

I can't figure out how to remove it (don't remember what I put there either ). Perhaps a moderator or Akasha can remove it or show me how?

Re: Balroq thinks highly of Akasha

Someone here in the Den (sorry I forget who and when) once said something about posting that kinda went like this......"Read it, Reread it, and reread it again before you click the post button". I think about that every time I post here or anywhere now. What I just wrote, does it make sense, does it read "angry" or "sarcastic", does it convey what I meant it too? Those are some questions I ask myself before I post, Questions I learned too ask from posting here.

Re: Balroq thinks highly of Akasha

Good advice. I tend to write off the top of my head when it's a personal opinion on a general topic post as opposed to a specific gear/spec question which I tend to usually check or double check for validity before I post a reply someone might base a gear choice/respec on. I have a bad habit of assuming peolpe just know how nice I am :P and you know what assuming does...
