Banners to advertise the Den Competition

This competition has been come about due to this thread: http://wowmb.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26249

If you're graphically gifted and would like to help out the site, put your skills to the test to design some mini banners that other websites can use to help promote The Warlocks Den. Pernicious posted this link: http://www.bannercreator.nu/banner-size.html which lists standard banner sizes for the internet. You are free to choose from any of those sizes there and can submit as many ideas / entries as you like.

How to submit:

This month, instead of sending entries to me privately and just having me choose, I thought it might be a but more fun to post your entries to this thread and I will choose entries based on the communities feedback. I'm also not limiting it to a single winner either, if there are multiple entries that people love, all can be used. That way multiple people can have their work shown to use, and sites get a variety to choose from, which makes them more likely to use one to promote us, which gets us more members! Win - win - win!!

Competition will run until the end of next month (July 31st).

Prizes:

For every banner that is chosen, the creator will receive 1 month's ad-free subscription to the site.

Looks good. Don't forget though, we want people to know what it's advertising straight away, so the writing might need to be a bit bigger.

Hi there.

I designed a simple "WARLOCKS DEN" in fiery text, which you may find handy for small banners. I could design something more interesting, perhaps with some of our demon minions in the background, but the largest letterbox shaped banner is only 90 pixels high - probably not enough to incorporate pictures of warlocks and demons.

So 3 questions: 1) Do the banners have to be in those exact dimensions? 2) Does the full URL need to be in the image (ie. The Warlocks Den in very small print in the corner), or can you just create a link from it? 3) Can it be "warlocks den", or does it need to be "The warlocks den"?

One banner is 728x90 - the other is 234x60

If you don't mind me asking, what font do you use for the logo on the home page? I was just wondering because it seems that I should use that font for the banners...

I am not sure if you like to keep the banner in style with the site, so made 2 with copying pictures from the frontpage and the forums. Added a voidwalker on the 2nd one. Wasn't too hard), and looks like this:





Those were a bit more challenging, tbh I am not great with the texts. But I hope some of you like them anyways:




(I see i wasn't concequent with the sizes of those even /blush. Will fix that later.)

Can make similar with other minons/warlock outfits etc. As some might reconize I used wow model viewer for the designs (the blue seems a nice background, but could be changed to black or something), and then I used photoshop to add it all together.

Never done much banners, looking forward to opinions.

All four of your designs are all good, but the very first one at the top is unbelievable!!!. The purple and black background accentuates the main character and is consistent with the colors of the WD forums.
