Things that make you go "Wooooo!!"

So, after toying with you all for a couple of days, it's time to put you all out of your misery. Seed of Corruption - BAM! Dead! Muhahaha...

As Pernicious guessed, the list I showed you all is a tally of news contributions to the site. Every mark is a post, be it information, update or screenshots, posted by the name of the member listed, that I have been able to use on the front page. Some of the posts have come direct from Beta testers, others have not. But the one thing they all have in common, is giving me news worthy information to list on the front page, and give others a reason to come here. The best way the site can succeed is by reaching more and more Warlocks and getting them to come here instead of other websites. The best way to do that, is to give them all of the information they crave. After all, if you can get all your news from a single newspaper, you're not going to buy anything else.

Hunting down news and updates takes time, which is why I rely heavily, if not solely on you guys to share it here. First hand information and screenshots is obviously the best sort, as it then causes other websites to link to us for people to come to, but as awesome as we are, we can't expect to be first every time. Second hand information is still, information. It provides starting points for discussions and gets Warlocks talking. It also means, as mentioned above, Warlocks can stop here for all their updates instead of everywhere else. So I've been keeping track, starting in August, of all the members who have provided beta information, screenshots or started discussion threads (like the Collective Ideas for Warlock Glyphs for example).

But why Akasha? Why are you keeping a list? WHY?!!

Because I don't have the time I used to anymore, I need you guys to help me out. But just because I enjoy maintaining the site as much as I do, I also realise it's not a labour of love for a lot of other people, and the success of the site is not reward enough. So, I'm going to put the possibility of a real, material reward out there: a copy of the up and coming expansion, Wrath of the Lich King. Huzzah!

For the top 3 contributors of news and information by the time Wrath of the Lich King is released, I will reward them with their very own copy of the expansion! That's right! A FREE copy of Wrath of the Lich King could be yours!! Once we draw closer to the release date, I will contact the top three contributors and put a copy of Wrath of the Lich King on pre-order via Amazon so it will be ready and waiting to ship out the moment it comes in.

So, if you want to get your hands on one of these three copies, start sharing the information! Remember, you don't have to be a beta member to get involved... start scouring the internet, find Warlock related information, screenshots or updates (or anything us Warlocks might be interested in generally) and post it under the Wrath of the Lich King Discussion area of the forums.

Tip: I really appreciate people who take the time to write out their post properly which allows me to basically copy + paste the information into the news post. I pay special attention to those over the "here - link" type posts... if you get my drift.

So, what counts?

ANYTHING Warlock related:
- Screenshots of new weapons and armor
- Any Pet news (this is a BIG one people are interested in!)
- New spell and talent information, changes made to existing ones, detailed information on how they work, screenshots of them in action.
- Anything to do with us Warlocks in either Screenshot, Movie, or Informational form
General Screenshots. Especially ones that aren't splattered all over other websites. Instance screenshots, boss screenshots etc.
Movies, especially if they are from a Warlocks points of view, or involve a Warlock in some way (ie PvP)
Any major changes to the game - like the latest Spell Downranking change for example.
Anything and everything that you think might interest us Warlocks
Anything that promotes discussion!

So remember, this isn't just for Beta testers. Using the Spell Downranking example again, that was an official post by Blizzard... anyone could have shared that. So if you have spare time at work, or you're on a long flight or waiting for a group member, start searching for news. You never know what you might get out of it.

And P.S. Just because I enjoy tormenting you all so much, this is not the only way you can win a copy of Wrath of the Lich King... but I'm not telling you the other ways just yet.

I must say, Akasha, your schemes for this website and its member's go beyond most evil warlocks plans for world domination! And they're much more interesting! So beta news is what you want, beta news is what you'll get... Now, to phone my contact in the blizzard world offices... Doh, I don't have one... yet.

Lol I am not sure what you want that has not be posted a million times already. I got accepted to beta but other then like most of the stuff thats already posted I dont see much diffrence myself on my lock. now on my 70 druid and pally there are big changes.

I'm not keeping track for just a day. Yes, information at the moment is not necessarily new, but the world does have to keep going around, the sun does have to set and a new day does have to begin. Call me crazy, but I'm going to bet there's going to be a few more changes, additionals and tweaks before the release.

Of course, if you don't want to get invovled, no body's holding a Rogue to your back.
