Home page login
I don't know if this affects anyone else, but I don't auto login, and like to go to the home page first.
It's a really small issue, but in order to login I have to then scroll right to bottom of page to find it. If passing over that page at some stage in the future, it would just be one of those little assistances in life if the login entry could find a permanent home somewhere near the top of the page? I realise I can go straight to forum page, or setup auto login or many other things, but would be sooo nice to have :-) |

Re: Home page login
Meh, I just click on the "today's posts" link, I am then prompted to log in. Perhaps I am too lazy to scroll to the bottom of the page.

Re: Home page login
The log in box was added in regards to the ad free subsciption. Unfortunately, with no log in box, those who had taken the subscription weren't being remembered and thus, being displayed ads. Adding the log in box fixed the issue, but because it wasn't "needed" as people log in via the forums, it was placed at the bottom out of the way.
It was never intended to actually be used. If that makes sense. |

Re: Home page login
No problem. :-)
One of the reasons for me doing it that way was due to some IE problem at work where if I log in on forums page, it gives me the login acknowledgement, but when it returns to the forums page it can't work out I am logged and still displays non-logged menus. By swapping to the home page and back this is then self corrected. Hence, as standard, I have been going to home page first. I am sure is to do with the configuration at work, not a forum problem, and just have not had time or inclination to resolve when I can log in at home page. Thanks for the reply :-) |
