Server Problems

I am currently experiencing some issues with the server, something is murdering it. It appears to be fluctuating a bit at the moment, so if you get an error message, or can't connect to the site, please try again. One minute it's up, next it's down.

I am working on it and hopefully it will be sorted soon.

Maybe its just overloaded with fellow locks who are eagerly waiting for the severs to come back up and keep coming here to see if anyone has posted that they have been able to play.

By the way....is there a post where there are new talent builds with the stuff they are giving us? I could not get search to work right now.

Nah, it's actually a server attack.

There's a few talent build threads around. Have a look under Talent Builds - Ask for help - The Warlocks Den Forums or Spells and Talents - The Warlocks Den Forums There's a sticky around somewhere with the title 'best builds' which might be worth a look.

could it have to do with the record breaking number of visitors today??

Hehe, although that is FANTASTIC!! (does a little dance), the server should be able to cope with that. We upgraded it a while ago to deal with basically double the load it was previously.

Not ruling it out of course, it seems a bit coincidental that this would happen on such a big patch day.

Either way, hoping it is resolved quickly so you guys can all use it. Just keep refreshing if you get errors, it seems to be up and down with each minute, so you shouldn't have to wait long.

I wouldn't be surprised if malware creeps are out in force today knowing that every WoW site in the known internets is going to be jam packed with impatient folks.

Users online doesn't mean users viewing. I'd venture a guess it is under heavy stress from high traffic, I came here for a early verdict of our class and took 20 minutes to get through. The main WoW site is the same right now, very slow and some pages aren't loading.

Well it looks like it is just a server load issue lol. Data center couldn't find anything obvious. So I guess we just have to grin and bear it for the moment, sorry guys.

I've set a temporary max allowed load on the server to help keep us up and running a bit smoother. It allows members full access to the site like normal, and only limits guest viewing. So if you're a guest and really needing info, now might be the time to register.

Note: This is only a temporary measure and will be removed once things settle down.

Looks like the site migt still be struggling under the additional user load. I think that's fantastic! LOL I'm all for more members. And because more users is more important, I am looking into a new, bigger and better server to cope which will hopefully stop all the down time.

Just a matter of $$ at the moment.

Okie dokie. At this stage, we'll be moving to a new box next weekend (Friday night US time - Sat morning Aust time)
