Glyph Threads - where to put them? - Page 2

It seems to me that the first two comments would be a more accurate path. attaching Glyphs to Spells and Talents. I say this because a Glyph alters Spells in much the same way that a Talent does. Also, the Glyph screen is attached to the Spell book. This creates a logical link between Glyphs and the Spells and Talents section.

That would be my vote.

If the threads are about inscription profession (let's say a leveling guide), they should go into "profession" section.
If the threads are about synergy and interaction between glyphs, talents, spells, my best guess is "Spells and Talents".

In this ambiguous situation, i think that Spells and talents is my first vote, and a brand new section my second choice.

Rather than being a completely new main section has it been considered to place it as a sub-forum in the spells and talents section? For now (patch 3.0 to Wrath of the Lich King release) I think staying a main section will be good as there will be lots of new discussions, but as things die down later on I think it could be re-located to a more appropriate sub-forum.

yea i voted for "new section" but i think that option is open ended and a subsection of spells and talents is prob best...

Just a thought that I will probably edit when I read the whole tread. but since we "equip" glyphs in the same manor that we do enchants and gems, why not make an equipment subsection (or new sections), like "Gear Buffs." equipment threads can be for obtaining equipment and Buffs section for which gems, enchants, oils, and glyphs to use. This way inscription can remain in professions and glyphs can be with the other gear buffs.

Anything, well, mostly, is possible. It can be added as a sub-section, threads can be moved etc. At the moment I'll leave it as is, with it's own section since it's going to be a fairly hot topic for a while. Once things settle down, we'll figure out where it's permanent home will be. So keep the feedback coming please.

I think that having Glyphs (as in which ones to chose) as a main forum is the best solution-however when the hype dies down (which it will fairly soon given the static-ness of the profession) I believe placing it as a sub-forum to spells and talents would be the best way to go, as was suggested before.

on the other hand inscription profession queries belong with all the other professions.
