URGENT: Possible virus alert!!
If you were visiting this site in the last 6 hours (from the time of this post) please take a moment to run anti-spyware on your computer. I was recently accepted into a new advertising network which I tried out this afternoon, however after having them activated for less than 5 minutes, my anti-virus program went haywire and I've since had to do a big clean up of nasty junk on my computer. Thankfully (for you guys), this happened so fast that I immediately pulled the ads, and they were active for maybe 15 minutes at most. However, I do not want anyone else to be comprimsed, so to be on the safe side, I ask you to run a quick check on your computer. Hopefully I am the only one infected. Needless to say a lovely email is waiting to be read at the advertising network.

Hehe, luckily this is the first time I've ever experienced it (from this site), although yes, you have a very good point. Quick!! Everyone grab a subscription!!  By the way, I should say that I *assume* it was the new ad network. But since the pages I had open at the time were pages I always have open (Ebay, WoWHead and here), and it happened 5 minutes after I activated the code, I put my money on that.

Thank you Akasha. I think I missed the window of when it was active but I'm about to run a check now. I'm sure my live scan would have picked it up though.

Could also possibly be WowHead if you had that open at the time, they've been known to have dodgy ads in their rotation before. EDIT: I'm sure I visited the site in the timeframe you described and I haven't found anything dodgy, maybe it's one particular ad the new provider has in their rotation that's to blame?
