Too many forums?

I love the Den, and I've been with it for a long time. I have to ask, is it really necessary to have so many forums/sub forums?

For example, I made a post today in the raiding builds forum, but it got moved to the talent:builds help forum. The content of the post was asking for help, but was more related to the general mechanics of a destro raid build. What exactly differentiates why one post goes in one section or the other?

I understand that splitting up the forums helps to categorize things and makes things less likely to be duplicated, but what exactly is the current rationale for the talent builds section of the forums?
