Hopefully have a new owner soon...
Hi guys. Just letting you know I'm in discussion with a couple of interested parties to take over The Den. There's three very interested parties, all of which are much more into WoW than I have been in a long time, two of which own other WoW websites. I'm really hoping to find you guys someone who will not only keep the site to it's current high level, but also improve upon it and really make it fantastic. I've noticed the numbers of people using the site have dropped off a bit since my announcement. Please don't stop coming here because of that. I'm still here and around keeping an eye on everything, and I'm sure who ever takes over will do a fantastic job! And hey... if you all hang round lots, I might even post a few photos as a parting gift.

Sweet! A parting gift!  Too bad it's a 'parting' gift though. The new owner will have very big shoes to fill indeed. Warlocks are a very finicky lot, and we have big axe-toting demons to deal with people who upset us.

Hehe. Well, one of the interested parties has asked if I would be willing to stick around for a bit, which I have agreed to. And no matter who takes it over, I'll still be around some place or another. I just won't be the evil admin with the lead plated *** kicking boots anymore. :p

So as a precaution to Akasha's announcement of probable photos i have purchased a new monitor just in case my old one blows up.... The den has been a awesome place over the past few years find someone to keep it as awesome. Thank you for this amazing place Akasha and I'll miss ya.  (But not the Lead lined boots  )

yes, this is sad news indeed. but i understand of course with a new baby and everything, this site has not so much precedence. but i just wanted to say thank you akasha for all your help and work in maintaining this wonderful site (the only wow site i visit regularly, or at all for that matter) i sincerely hope that whoever takes over will continue in the same tradition. best jordan |

I have to admit I am visiting Warlock's Den less frequently since the news. The uncertainty over leadership and therefore the longevity of the site is what makes me less interested and involved. Part of it is that Akasha isn't around, but the other larger part is what is the leadership I am not saying that anyone is doing anything bad, but just saying this is why I (and maybe some others) are feeling less interested and participatory. I will still log on and try to participate where I can, but just less so. I would also appreciate that any personal information from donating to the site is deleted from records before being given to a 3rd party taking over the site whom I do not know. |
