Exclamation Respecting others at the Den

I would like to point out that I am starting to notice more people starting to think that comments like "ignore this person" or "this is totally fail" are acceptable when regarding another person's comments.

If you think someone is misinformed, or just flat out wrong, there are better things that you can do than to mock them or insinuate that they are stupid. One of the reasons this site exists is so that people can learn. One way people learn is by asking questions. If you see someone asking a question that is, in your eyes "fail" or "stupid" then you have two options.

The first would be to offer a helpful reply. Answer the question the politely in a helpful manner. Answer the question in the way that, hopefully, someone answered you before you knew the answer.

The second option is simply to not reply. If you don't think you can be polite or helpful, then please just don't even reply to that person. Pretend you didn't see the post and go on your way.

We welcome people who are just starting to learn about their class and the game, as well as seasoned veterans, to these forums. All of whom should be given respect. If this seems sudden to some of you then I would like to point you to the forum rules, which can be found:http://wowmb.net/forums/rules.php

Specifically, I would like to point out this part:

Quote:
No flaming, personal attacks or harassment!
There is a zero tolerance policy on this site in regards to members flaming, attacking or harassing another member in any way. We’ve all seen the official forums, seen the unhelpful and nasty attitudes of some of the posters, and I’m sure most are here to get away from it. Most have probably come across a time when they didn’t agree with something someone else said, or visa versa, all I ask is for members to try to keep an open mind to other people’s points of view. Especially in relation to people’s personal opinions - disagreeing does not make the other person wrong. Share your opinions about the topic, not the poster.
Note: This also covers calling other members "noobs", telling them to "L2P", etc.
Let's play nice, alright?
