Affliction DPS past 3.0.8 patch... dropped?
I first noticed this yesterday in H-VH: Usually I'd quite easily be able to reach 2.5k on Portal Keepers (gaurdians?) but yesterday I noticed I was barely breaking 2k. Throughout the instance I was noticeably lower on DPS than I was before. I rechecked my gear and I don't think any of it was on the nerf list... tho i'm not 100% sure. Immediately after the VH I checked on the dummies in Exodar (ahh lag free exodar, so lovely) and had quite a time trying to keep a 5 minute fight over 2k whereas usually I'm around 2.3k. Ran several 5 minute fights and had similar results with each. Oh, i should mention that on the dummy fights I only use Fel Armor and a Spellstone. Is anyone else experiencing this?? Is this only happening to me? Oh and I'm a Deep Affliction Warlock. Also, I just read an article from Fallenman about Haunt from other warlocks clipping existing haunts. That wasn't the case yesterday as I was the only warlock in the instance. I was wondering if maybe some mechanic changes to other classes have affected ours? Also there are odd lines in the release notes like "Corruption will now gain the correct damage modifiers for the creature type of the target." which I don't fully understand. I didn't know Corruption had different modifiers based on the creature? |

I feel it has dropped too. I couldn't breach 3k dps, and was stuck at 2,8k. Came here looking for answers. |

Last Patchwerk, I put out 5120 without a 4pc t7 bonus while my guildmate Zelman put up 5504 with the 4pc. Not to shabby for locks without turning tides (I blame blizzard!) |

I put up similar numbers. Before I got turning tide (yesterday) I put up 5512 dps on Patchwerk, with no hit buff. I used Doomguard for the whole fight until the near end. At 25% I dropped Infernal, stopped casting immolate, and drained soul. I was pretty excited! Just last week, prior to patch with no major gear upgrades, I had put out just over 5k dps on him.
