Wrong roation or else talent...
Hi, I play with another another warlock in raids, but my DPS is always below it, even my Speel Power and Hit raring bigger than his. I have BUILD demonology, destruction, and now affliction, but nothing.... What is Wrong. Its my char: Talent: WorldofWarcraft.com - Talent Calculator Spell Power: 1805 (2175) with fel armor Hit Rating: 439 Crit: 12,91 % Hast Hating: 184 My Rotation: All Dots, Haunt, Unstable Afliction, Immolate, SB.... and with less 25% life boss, Drain Soul. Other Warlock: Talent: WorldofWarcraft.com - Talent Calculator Spell Power: 1306 Hit Rating: 153 Crit: 22,58 % Hast Raring: 75 Rotation he, i dont know. I need help because I do not know how to give more damage. I do not understand how the other Warlock having less power, to give more damage than me. Tanks for help. You might want to adjust your spec about 5 points to get Ruin (see here) Also, check out the Hit Rating Guide. With Suppression, you're way over hit cap, so you could itemize better for SP. Now for the actual build itself... Aff has greater DPS potential, but you have to keep the rotations up. 0/41/30 is "so easy a caveman could do it". And you're friend's spec also lends to exceptional trash DPS, which may be skewing your meters. Just check the boss DPS, you should be well ahead of him there.

Well, I can see some issues with your rotation for affliction. Your inicial rotation should be: SB-Haunt-UA-Immo-Curse of Agony-Corr-SL-SB-... Of course, if you were doing the 13% to magic effect that raid, you would need to take out Curse of Agony and use CoE at the beggining. Now, make sure that you aren't clipping any dots. That is, don't refresh any of them early, that way they can get their last ticks off (especially important with Curse of Agony). Also make sure that the haunt debuff is up 100% of the time, and that you never stop casting something, even if it's lifetap (LT is good for when you're moving). If you're not using DoTimer or something like it, get it. On the drain soul part, be certain that you are below 25% on the boss before you start, or else you won't get the 4x effect. Also make sure that you aren't clipping each DS tick (easiest way to do that is to get an addon like Drain Soul Timer), or else that time you spent channeling it is useless. Don't let your dots and haunt drop off either, and you should never have to use a SB during this phase if you refresh haunt early enough so that shadow embrace keeps both stacks up. Oh, and you need to change your talents up. Take out everything from the demonology tree. Put 5 points in Ruin, 1 point in molten core, and 2 points in cataclysm. However, you would have to lower your hit to 368 in that case (easy to do if you're using gems to get to your hit). If you can get to 446 hit without gems, use the specc I use (look up satalitetv on the armory). Also, these are the glyphs you should be using: Immolate, Curse of Agony, and Siphon Life (these will change come the patch). Last edited by King Crab; April 13, 2009 at 01:52 AM.. |

King Crab is right. SB>Haunt>UA>Immo>Corr>SL>Curse. you don't need to do CoE if you have an unholy DK in the raid with the debuff. Don't clip your dots. and drop Immo at 35% and DS at 25%.

As said above your rotation and talent spec is not optimum.. Also what content are you comparing this to?? Looking at the armory achievements for you and the warlock in question, he has only done sarth and you have not so I assume your comparing 5 man content which his build might have a slight advantage in (affliction shines in long fights).. although i would still think that with such a spell power difference you would still be in the lead. |

I tanks for all peoples with help me, but with the new patch, i am lost again... not have more why put talents in afliction ans destruction at same time... UA and IMMOLATE dont function more.... damage |
