Wasn't sure if i was doing the right spell rotation but after looking at this thread i seem to have the same idea as most people. If i am the only lock in the raid i use (life tap just before boss is pulled do my glyph kicks in) CoE-CB-Imm-Inc- Conf-Corruption then spam inc until CB or Conf have cooled down.(and using my life tap when needed) This gives me average 4.0 Dps in raids, if there is another lock in the raid group that is using CoE i use my CoW and my dps can hit up to 5.2. My advice would be not to get hung up on you Dps though. We normally have a Mage in our raid group that has better gear than me, his dps is nearly always better but when i look at the amount of overall damage done on the boss i have always done more which is what counts, Also install Omen to keep a eye on your agro coz the better your gear gets the higher your crit and the more your soulshatter becomes a good friend : ) Last edited by Loubelou; November 11, 2009 at 08:18 AM.. |

Hi, my warlocks name is Rushton and i came on here just to get some advice. My first post, so sorry to the people if i say anything stupid or ignorant. This is my warlocks armory: The World of Warcraft Armory and this is my pve spec: The World of Warcraft Armory Right now, in raid bosses, my current spell rotation is CoE-Immo-Corruption-Conflag-CB-INC-INC until conflag is up and repeat (and yes i do put corruption back up when it runs out). This rotation gives me, so far, good dps for easy raids such as VoA and Onyxia. On a good day, i can plus 6k dps in Onyxia, but generally for both i get 5k plus (i'm not saying this to show off, just saying what my spec and spell rotation can get). Here is an example of a good day in onyxia i got http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2514/...122d6902_o.jpg once again, this aint for showing off but for advice. my dps for toc raids is considerably lower (around the 4k mark). For maximum dps, what should i do? should i respec, getting rid of the 4 talent points in corruption (8%incease in damage) and into demo, giving my imp 8% more firebolt damage and therefore ridding corruption from my spell rotation? should i change one of my glyphs to life tap glyph? I have seen alot of people suggesting this, but i'd thought to give people a view of what i can do with the spell rotation and my spec before doing anything rash. thanks and many props in advance to those who reply. |
