My DPS is very low in Ulduar
guys I am having really DPS problems in Ulduar. Went to Ulduar 10 around 3 times and all the time am having issues with my DPS. On all occassions I was getting a maximum DPS of between 1.8K to 2.5K whereas all the other DPS`ers where getting above 3.5K. I tried both affliction and 00/41/30 but still the same. When I do Naxx25 I can easily reach 5.5K on patchwerks. Even on trash in Ulduar seems my DPS is getting very much low and sometimes the trash or bosses are patchwerks style that is being in a fixed position and spam dots. My gear seems OK and am using same rotations I use in naxx and other raids and fully buffed with flask of frost wyrm, shovel tusk steak and Kibbler`s bits when using FG. Learn the fights. The way you do damage in Ulduar is not different from Naxxramas. Its all about getting used to the new fights, positioning etc. How have you performend on movement intensive fights in Naxx (e.g. Sapphiron)? |

In Naxx I have no problems with DPS neither in Sapp...maybe a little bit in Heigan. Yes for sure I need to learn the tactics for each boss but what I could not understand was in certain bosses in Ulduar or trash where you just stay positioned without moving and spamming affliction.....my dps was just under 2.8K whereas everyone was reaching over 3.5K |

Its all about learning where to stand to be able to dps the longest without moving.. and in some cases i switch from affliction to my demo spec.. and back.. depending on the fight.. Freya and all the ads.. and movement.. affliction works great here as you can dot up the elementals all at the same time to help burn em down.. I am consistant like 3.5-4k dps in there.. but like i said.. you have to know where to go.. and sometimes what group to be in .. i.e. dont be in the hallway group on thorim or you will be really squishy and not be able to cast fast enough!.. but on the arena sire you can AOE away! =more dps I also carry 2 sets of gear.. Haste set / Crit set .. Haste for when I can just stand and bomb away.. and crit for my affliction.. where it will benefit more.. the 1st week or so in ulduar I struggled too.. but you will learn..
