Help: well geared but low dps
Hello, i have trouble with my dps, my gear is really good and people has been telling me that i should be pulling around 8k of dps but i can barely pull 4.1k in the test dummie. I am using the following rotation: Curse of Elements<Inmmolate<Corruption<Conflagrate<Chaos Bolt<Incinerate spam until Conflagrate is avaliable again. This is my character The World of Warcraft Armory I really could use any advice, any changes in the rotation, i really want to find out what the hell is wrong with my dps Thanks guys |

About this, I would like to know if corruption is worthless or not on a deep destro rotation. I'v seen locks that use it and others that don't. There must be some point where it improves or decreases your dps, right? (taking in consideration stuf like CoD vs CoE, or DK &/or Moonkins on your group) |

Don't use corrpution unless you're moving and doesn't have reapply your curse or lifetap.

For your gear and your rotaion, you are about right for DPS on the dummy. You should remove Corr from your rotation, it is a slight DPS loss when using it unless you cast it while you are moving. In your gear, you are putting too much weight in crit and not enough in haste. You should try to balance that more. Your haste needs to be much higher than it is. You have too much hit. You only need to be at 289 if you if there is an SPriest or Boomkin in the group. I'd replace your full hit gem with a runed in your legs. Also, replace your Haste/Spirit gems with SP/Sprit after you get your haste rating up with gear alone. Your Spell Power is a bit low. Bottom line is, there's alot of little things you can do that overall add up to alot. As for 8K DPS, none of us are going to achieve that without full raid buffs and it will vary on the boss. Keep it up, you're doing fine, you just need to make a few small changes. |
