Low DPS is driving me crazy
So here's my toon and gear: The World of Warcraft Armory Currently, I'm having trouble getting over 4k on the H Training Dummy. 2 weeks ago I had lower gear (none of it tier gear) and was getting 4k no problem. It's confusing me...my gear has gotten significantly better, but my dps has stayed the same...or even gotten worse. I know a couple locks that have ~2200 gear scores and hang right with me. My cycle is the standard cycle, CoE/CoD, Imm, CB, Conf, Inc. until conf ready....repeat, using CB and Conf whenever available. My hit is capped, my SP is over 2500 with Fel on (unbuffed otherwise). I'm at a complete loss. I'm not normally one to start asking around, but I feel like I've tried everything I can on my own, and am hoping someone will see something I'm missing. Thanks for reading! Hmm, took a look at your armory. You should change crit on head into sp gem and get the chaotic skyflare diamond instead of the one you have now. My gear is slightly worse than yours, but I pull over 4k dps on heroic dummy easily (haven't tested after I got my last upgrades, but was over 4k before those).

Swap crit for SP gems. Dummys dont say to much because locks scale very good whit buffs. |

Do not gem for crit, change the metagem for crit with 3% increased critical damage. I hace tried using cb before conflag and i dont see any improvement in dps |

Thanks for the tips. I swapped the meta out for the Chaotic Skyflare and noticed a little change. What annoyed me was having to drop two blue gems in. Working on epic replacements (honor points) now, but I'm not sure which ones I should use. Obviously 2 blue gems isn't the way to go, so you think purple or green are the best choice? Additionally, any suggestions on what I should shoot for in regards to haste? Again, thank you very much for the help. |
