destruction warlock and worst dps in guild plz help
I am a 0/13/58 build and am the prolly the worst dps in the guild. Ive read endlessly bout increasing my dps but havent come up with a solution. Rogues and dk's slaughter me in dps. Mages beat me substantially. Even a shadow priest does better. The only thing i can think of is my rotation but have practiced on dummy and no help there either. my current rotation is macro for immolate and petattack, conflag, cod, cb, spam incinerate till immolate off cooldown, rinse and repeat leaving cod out till its ready again. Ive tried priority casting after my initial rotation but it gets real complicated and makes it hard to concentrate on whats goin on in the game so i just rinse and repeat. Plz look at my awesome gear and tell me why my dps isnt awesome too. I pull bout 4k dps on dummies, and bout lil over 5k dps on tank and spank boss with no movement in the fight. Everyone else in guild is doin way better. Are they that good or am i that bad.

You have to do what you call priority casting. If you stick to your strict rotation, you loose a lot of conflagrates and chaos bolts. Conflag and CB must be used as soon as they come off cooldown. Your gear is more than good enough to pull 6k dps and more. |

tyvm pretty much have tried just bout everything i could think of. i changed rotation round so many different ways and no help, but i never tried priority casting before. ive been practicing on dummy and think itll take a lil time to get use to cause its another thing to keep my mind on. before i just had rotation and would do it over and over again. Now im in a guild that is pretty elite and want to squeeze more dps out so ill have to find a way. Hope I can make this work. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.  One more question. Im wondering how i can improve my dps in Heroic dungeons when doin them with overgeared people and the mobs die quickly. The problem is i think im losing lotta dps cause my immolate dot dosnt even get a chance to tic. im destruction and you always have to start with that for the other spells damage increase. I thought bout assisting tanks target and using seed of corruption in mobs of 3 who die quickly before using my rotation. Is it better to use immolate on a single target whos health is low and you know you r only gonna get one cast off or should i just use cb when off cooldown or incinierate. I dont usually use rain of fire unless there is 4 or more in a mob. What r your rotations for this situation and any help would be appreciated. If i shoulda just started a new thread for this question plz lemme know?

Rain of fire for 3 or more mobs. Seed of Corruption is only useful if you have more than 5 mobs, and if they will live long enough for you to finish the cast, the travel time, and the time the seed takes to go off... But really, if you run a heroic with overgeared people, noone really cares about dps. |
