Help, low dps thread
Hi guys, Hopefully this is the right place. I'm trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong, with fel armour I have around 2400sp my current rotation is lifetap(rank1 with glyph) COE immo chaos bolt conflag incin x3 and rotate, throwing in dots .etc if required. I was also recently using a lifetap Curse of Agony corr immo chaos bolt conflag incin x3 rotation without reasonable results. The most dps I've ever been able to do was 3.8k but on average i struggle to hit 3k. I must be seriously doing something wrong can you guys please take a look at my gear as well and see if something's wrong with either my rotation or the gear The World of Warcraft Armory Cheers |

seems like your hit might be a little low... idk what all you run with but ya might need just a little more ... atleast 368 if you arent running with any of the helpful buffs the only problem i really see with your rotation you should conflag before you chaos bolt ... i seem to get 2 conflags off with a single immolate and im not sure if you can with your current rotation i never really throw in random dots ... i use that time to get my lifetap back up ... from what ive read random dots end up hurting your dps more than helping but im no expert |

Mostly just trying to add some dots in to see if that affects it, just changed my rotation and I'm trying to figure out what's going wrong. don't normally use the dots. I'll give it a go with the conflag before chaos bolt but I can't imagine that would give me a huge increase. I can chuck some +hit trinkets or whatever on easily. The thing that confuses me is I have another lock in my guild who has about the same, if not a bit less hit than me and he can totally ravage me on dps. I have dotimer and all the other important stuff to make sure I'm not totally screwing things up. also, the reason I use cb then conflag is because of the gcd or whatever it is I am normally able to get off my cb just in time for the conflag to proc I just can't figure out where I'm going wrong, As I said in the initial post I actually have to work to hit 3k Last edited by mf-; October 16, 2009 at 11:16 PM.. |

conflag usually triggers pyro and backdraft which will greatly up the damage and lower the cast time on your next spells |

what sort of dps would you expect me to be getting with my gear? I would imagine well over 3k. I'm happy to give the conflag thing a go a bit later tonight and will let you know how that goes. any other suggestions in the meantime |

im not sure of what kind of raids you are doing ... but i have similar gear (but im hit capped ) in 5 mans i do anywhere between 3-4k on trash and 4-5k on bosses ... in 10 mans im usually somewhere between 3-4k and in 25 mans im usually around 3k ... haha im actually having some gear issues at the moment though so im hoping to fix all of that what kind of raids are you running? |

uld 10/25, toc 10/25 most of the time So would it be worth spec'ing into ful dest and just throwing a few +hit items on and ditching suppression? Weird bit about what you said though is that I had a look through recount and couldn't see any misses.. Hmm, i stacked a bit of hit gear to give me about 439 hit. i tried my dps on the heroic dummy and I could only hit about 2.5k.. can someone please have a look and see what i'm doing wrong. oh nah you dont have to go that much hit with suppression , 368 is the cap when you have it |

I am in the same boat and my gear score is over 2500. My dps is still at 3K on avg. My rotation is the standard one, CoE/Immo/COnF/CB/Inc (start with trinket). Other classes with gear score at 2200 out dps me in all the fights. BY the way, I am not using any macros in the fights, is there any good macros we can use? |

a macro that i like to use is one that i start the fight off with it combines my pet attack , trinket , and the curse (coe for 5 mans and cod for anything else) /use 13 /petattack /cast curse of the elements |
