Low DPS (?) - Plz help one more frustrated lock!
I know this is the 1000th thread with the same topic, but I would really appreciate a personal evaluation. My rotation, or rather priority casting, is standard: CoE (or CoD if Unholy DK or Moonkin present) -> Immo -> Conflag -> CB -> Incinerate (spam), always keeping Conflag and CB on CD. Also, life-tapping whenever buff refresh needed. I also always refresh Immo without clipping last tick, even though this means some of my Incinerates hit the target without Immo debuff (max 1 per Immo refresh). If I'm moving, I try to life tap to regain mana or, when full, corruption and Shadowfury. If no Shadow Priest or Moonkin present, I use +40hit food, so I consider myself hit-capped. I believe I have gemmed correctly and priority casting is also right. I have recently become a tailor and got the lightweave embroidery cloak enchant, but before that (i.e. with +15haste enchant) I tested on dummy and pulled only 3.0k (self-buffed). This test may also have been before getting my dagger from ToC (I used Glinting Azuresong Mageblade - Item - World of Warcraft with +50SP enchant before). On raids, it is unusual if I pull over 4k, but I sometimes do. I have never reached 5k, not even considering BL. How much should I be pulling? Is this low or correct for my gear? Simcraft says I should be pulling over 4k self-buffed..... I've been doing VoA 10/25, Ony 10/25 and ToC10 mostly. On ToC, I almost never reach 3k =( I know I have very low haste and my equip has a lot of crit... It was not on purpose though... I just kept getting what I believed were upgrades. In my bank, I have Gul'dan's Gloves of Triumph - Item - World of Warcraft and Nemesis Skullcover - Item - World of Warcraft, which I'm planning to wear as soon as I have enough emblems to get the ilvl232 Gul'dan Leggings to get the 4pc T9 bonus. I'm not wearing these two items now so that I don't lose the T8.5 bonus. I also have the T8.5 chest, but decided that my current configuration is better than 245 T9 gloves + 232 T9 shoulder + T8.5 hood + T8.5 chest. Am I right? Next plans for emblems are: Band of the Invoker - Item - World of Warcraft (To replace Sinner's Confession) and Brimstone Igniter - Item - World of Warcraft, in this order. Please comment. I'm also not willing to gem equips lower than ilvl 232 with epic gems... Unless someone tells me that this will increase my dps significantly, which I don't believe it will... Please comment on this, too. |

Do you usually have a SPriest in your groups? I would hope so. If so, you need to lower your hit to as close to 289 as possible. Stop rolling on Crit and Hit gear and wait for Haste gear. I'd replace your lower level gems with the higher level and use a Reckless and Purified in your legs over the two Runed gems that you have. While lowering your Hit, you can ditch the Icewalker enchant on the boots and put in Greater Spirit. Other than that, and I can't really suggest anything right now. |

I could try the greater spirit enchant on the boots, but would it really make a big difference? The same thing with the gems... In my perception, I'm like at least 1k dps below what I should be.
