Ravael 70 Human Warlock Maelstrom US RP PvP Guild: The Seldarine Talent Spec: 0/21/40 |
As I'm geared fairly well (2568 wowheroes score) and properly enchanted and gemmed, and my spec is as I believe it should be for best affliction results (56/0/15), I am convinced that any dps gain I may obtain is based solely on rotation. Glyphs are: Corruption, Life Tap, Haunt Current Rotation: Life tap, Shadowbolt, Haunt, Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Curse of Agony, Shadowbolt to fill until target is below 25%, where Drain Soul becomes filler while keeping all DoTs up. Alternate Rotation for CoE: Life tap, CoE, Shadowbolt, Haunt, Corruption, Unstable Affliction, Shadowbolt to fill until target is below 25%, where Drain Soul becomes filler while keeping all DoTs up. Most often, I try to never let DoTs fall off. I normally will clip by a second or so before I let them have a second of no damage time. I am here because in recent months, I have fallen from the top of the DpS and Damage Done meters, to the bottom. I average about 4k, but am getting blown away by warriors, mages, hunters, and ret pallies pulling an average of 7k. It seems to me, that since Ulduar, I have remained at a stagnant dps, while all other classes have risen significantly. I have used this spec and rotation since Ulduar, where my warlock performed quite well, and now, in ToC and Onyxia raids, I have fallen significantly, and I don't quite understand why. I'm wondering if Blizzard threw in a sneaky nerf on Affliction locks and just didn't tell anyone at this point. Although, I have also noticed than other warlocks of different specs are falling behind as well. Our 25 mans normally run with 2 destro locks and myself, and I am just barely behind them now in dps. This is quite bothersome as until ToC, I have outperformed every warlock I've raided with so far. Any suggestions or tips are most welcome. |

Re: Affliction Lock Would Love a DpS Boost
First off, get the GoCoA, not GoCorruption. Second, Locks are not scaling very well in general, and affliction locks especially. Get used to DK's, Hunters, Rogues, Warriors and even a good Shaman beating you on the meters until the next xpac, just the way it is. |
