Althas Character Info Althas 80 Blood Elf Warlock Euro PvP Talent Spec: 0/41/30	Fel/Emberstorm, dead spec? Hi guys, i'm new to this forum. I'd like to discuss with you the old Fel/Emberstorm spec. I decided to post here because i'd like to have some advices from more mature warlocks, to improve my dps. I cannot consider myself an hardcore player atm, i've not sufficient time to spend running instances 4 times a week. But i have good equip and i feel i can do better with my lock. So, after this little introduction, i'd like to focus on the spec, not my equip. or socketting etc. Only spec and glyphs. Obviously, i'm speaking of a level 80 warlock from the end game raid point of view. Yesterday i was thinking that i'm the only F/E warlock i see around on my server. So i'd like to understand if the spec is competitive atm and, above all, in the near future looking forward to 3.3 changes. Let me ask you some questions. Do you think F/E is/will bel a good raiding spec? Or is better to change it in favour of a deep destro or affly, from the dps point of view? If you think that F/E should be good in 3.3, which talents will be better to sacrifice in order to take 3 molten core points? And which should do the new glyphs related to this spec? Now the 3 must-have glyphs are Felguard/Life Tap/Incinerate. Do you think will be better sacrifice the Felguard one for Quick Decay?(corr. ticks faster->more molten core procs == better dps increase than 20% more Felguard AP?). From this point of view, better spellstone (more haste, better use of quick decay etc.) or firestone? AoE thanks in advance, Althas

It is totally dependant on gear. F/E seems really competitive from 70-80, and from 80 onwards with poor -> OK gear. At some point it definitely gets left behind though. That might change significantly with the new Demo changes. We will just have to wait and see. F/E might stand to gain the most out of the new Decimation talent due to have Emberstorm.

Will it really be worthwhile playing F/E instead of Meta/Ruin? They will play almost identically, except that Meta will prob still use SB, and of course Meta offers the DP buff and a kickass Meta trinket

. I guess if you really prefer then you will just have to squeeze that extra talent for MC out somewere

I haven't done the simcraft maths, but it doesn't make sense to me to drop FG. My FG is up to 30% of my Damage, so losing the FG glyph, I would instantly lose 5% of my damage. Inc glyph is worth a lot less than that (5% bonus for Inc (40%? of total damage) = roughly 2% of total damage)

My understanding was that ALL locks should be using Spellstone, except Deep Destro. Now there is even more reason for Spellstone with the new glyph.
