Dumb as I can be....
After spending more than half an hour on reading quite a lot of situations, I still can't find what I'm looking for. Here is my profile - rather mediocre compared to my guildies' but still... Hit cap is not an issue here - was just interchanging items - nor is the kriss enchant (63 SP) For about a month now, i've been heroic dummy struggling at around 4.5k. I believe that I suck dpsing - saw a lock in onyxia 25 doing 7.5k dps in T7 and T8 - i know unbelievable - with same spec. Of course, im buffed like everyone else, im using same rotation.... For my question now: when do you start casting the 2nd, 3rd incinerate? I tried many poss but most: - using quartz, when the casting time of the first one reaches aprox 70% i start spamming not more than 3 times - at aprox 85% i only tap the key once i dont know how and why but i sometimes peak 5k I dont know what else i could be doing wrong - i dont clip immo, i use all spells imm after cooldown. could the difference be partly in criticals ? One may have higher crit values and crit chance. Some buffs also increase crit.

regarding 1st answer - right after raid i compared his equip with mine and i had aprox the same crit as him .30% difference or so regarding 2nd - aye i know it's not a lock trinket - it says so, i just said it was my latest setup - i also have sundial of the exiled trinket ofc have tried with that setup aswell and unfortunately the results are as lame as now well it seems that my main concern isn't still clraified - thats where i see the difference could be coming from in my opinion - player casting speed lets say it thx both for the answers though |

Only way that lock was doing 7.5K in that armor was because he was using rain of fire on the adds. Same thing happened to me yesterday doing 25 man Onyxia; Mage was top of the dps charts doing 11K but he was using his AOE on the adds while the rest of the ranged dps stayed on Onyxia the whole time. Don't worry about it. |

Yea you can't really judge it by Onyxia. Some people aoe, some on boss. |

thx a lot guys for your answer. you must be definetely right but still could any of you give me a hint on how fast you cast the spells? I mean do you wate for it to end and cast it right after, or you start tapping a litlle earlier? cheers for your time |

quartz has this red area that shows you when to start mashing buttons :D It all depends on lag, sometimes I have to start casting the next spell as soon as the current got registered, on those extreme laggy days... but usually it's around 100-300 ms before the spell is finished. |
