New Pc
I am getting a new pc (mainly for playing wow and other games) and I was wondering which type of pc I should get: dell, hp etc. I already know that I want 2 gigs of RAM, NO VISTA (my main problem), and at least 250 gigs of memory. My budget is around $1000-$1200
As for graphics card, I'm leaning towards a Nvida. Thanks! |

Re: New Pc
I got a new one this past May from www.cyberpowerinc.com
This site has some great deals as well as making it very easy to customize whatever computer you want. I have been playing WoW and by buddy plays Supreme Commander on it and we both love it. Last edited by Soultempest; August 01, 2007 at 07:58 AM. |

Re: New Pc
Well im getting a new pc as well, i would advise you to get one 8800 GTS, i know they are a bit expensive but worth every penny...
250GB in the days that roll today is too short, you can in Europe 500GB for 100 euros so should be arround 130$ more a less, but then things in the US are cheaper too ;-) 2GB of memory is a good way to go. Vista sucks so far as we know, but does work with wow without any problem... |

Re: New Pc
Sorry about that link not working I will take it out but if you go to the main webpage (the first link I posted), scroll down about half way and under the "Water Cooling Gaming PC Showcase" choose the Gamer Ultra SLI GT.
I then went through the options and added an extra gig of ram and changed the OS from Vista to XP (there are many other options you can change if you so desire). The only downside is that there is no monitor but I picked up a 19" widescreen w/ 5 ms refresh rate and built in speakers for approximately $180 off of www.newegg.com p.s. I run vista with no problem and although I hated it at first it is starting to rub off on me... |

Re: New Pc
I can't vouch for them, but I see these folks advertise in Computer Gaming Monthly every issue... seems like decent deals

Re: New Pc
I found a model called "Gamer Infinity 7000 Elite" on that cyber power website which i really liked.
The price tag was $1050 and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy that. I have 2 more questions though, are you absolutely sure this site is reliable? (i've been tricked too many times lol) The other is, does this site have labor day deals? |

Re: New Pc
That is great that you found one you liked.
On reliability, I would vouch for the company considering my computer came from there and I was actually told about it by a friend who swears by these computers. Quote:
As far as deals this site is constantly running deals with free liquid cooling, and/or free shiping etc. You just have to keep your eyes peeled and then eventually find a deal you like and go for it. |
