Re: Music While Gaming
its actually an adapted Teamspeak client that used to show a name of who is talking, but there is a winamp plug in on the website to auto fade volume. however, i have no clue why it works with ventrillo (i dont use TS), so its kinda just luck actually =P. I ll try to find the module again when I get home from work

Re: Music While Gaming
Lots of metal fans.
My answer is pretty much "all of the above", though when I pick, progressive and atmosperic stuff works better. Emperor is awesome for wow, especially warlocking, opeth, a little Nile, as well as cheesier more anthemic like dragonforce (they are copping a lot of flak lately but it's mostly the equivalent of laughing at this site for having writing in or me for being a geek) maiden etc. If I'm picking tracks, alchemist is always good (australian psychedelic metal) and neurosis (which once you've listened a few times and taken it in, makes wonderfully dramatic background music) |

Re: Music While Gaming
Vista Media Centre linked up to the Keyboard is the way to go.
For raids its gotta be Metal, lately Disturbed and Bullet have taken over for 25 mans - Kara only gets my B grade music :D - strangely enough my dps goes down a bit when a song i dont enjoy comes on. And although im a Metal fan for those days when you are farming for hours on end its gotta be those 2-4 hour long "State of Trans" songs. Somehow makes farming bareable. |

Re: Music While Gaming
How do you listen to the music and not the voices on dragonforce?!?! Tell me your secret!! =O
Also, I tend to listen to various things. Sometimes In pvp I pop in Metallica's - Master of Puppets. It's such a lovely song for a warlock. I also listen to Push it to the limits, Fort Minor - remember the name, and MC Hammer - you Can't Touch This, Shangri-la by Angela, Stand Alone, and Hero, and Eye of the Tiger.PVE I usually listen to HArdware store by Wierd Al, White and Nerdy by Wierd Al, and some CDs with music from Chrono Trigger (I Like it. >.>) and Fate/Hallow Ataraxia. |
