JohnnyRook is retiring
Well, all good things come to an end. And as such I have finally given up on WoW and am trying to recover my social life
Just wanted to put a huge thanks to Akasha and all the contributers to this site Especially Crypt. I have been reading this site since I first started using Crypts guides to level up ... a LONG time ago. And I have been faithfull to my one and only character JohnnyRook .. mostly because he is the coolest class in the game I have found this site to be one of the most enjoyable and informative Warlock sites around. And I cant thank Akasha enough for all the work she put into this site over the years. Without the info I gathered from this warlock community I would never be topping damage meters lol. As for me .. .gonna take some time off gaming until Tabula Rasa comes out. Then I will probably muck around with that for a while. But trying to avoid the situation where it becomes a 2nd job :( Or I might see you in Warhammer .. you never know Love you all, and be good to your momma! JohnnyRook |

Re: JohnnyRook is retiring
not sure yet what I am gonna do with him yet
Figure I have two options 1) Keep jR for Wrath of the Litch King 2) Given that selling your account is against the Terms of Service. I might be able to give him to a friend See what happens I suppose. It would definately hard for me to part with johnny jR Last edited by JohnnyRook; September 18, 2007 at 08:20 PM. |

Here is my last raid WWS page
http://www.lossendil.com/wws/?report=j2j4otnu1pife Magtheridon: 1029 DPS Hydross: 1132 DPS Lurker: 800 DPS Enjoy. As you can expect some fights it really shines, other fights other specs shine. Overall I think its a very very solid raiding build for the level of gear I have jR |

Re: JohnnyRook is retiring
Best of luck in pursuing your social life!
Since you seem to be leaving WoW on good terms, here's my 2c. As far as your character goes, Blizz have stated that they keep characters "forever" (or words to that effect) so my voice of experience is simply cancel your account and leave him as-is. Don't delete him, don't vendor all his gear or give away all your gold. (or keep some, anyway) You never know when your social life might be a bit slow, or you're taking a break, or you've heard a bunch of cool things about the new expansion that you want to check out. In other games, I made the mistake of deleting characters when I "quit", only to come back and really regret it. Having to completely re-level is a pain, and can take away from any potential enjoyment from re-visiting WoW. A lot of people I've read have cracked it with a game and deleted their character or given them away, only to regret it a year later when they come back to play again. Even if you only come back to experience a new expansion for a few months, having a character ready to go straight away makes it possible to jump straight into it. And if you never come back, so what? JohnnyRook is simply in retirement somewhere, that's all. |

Re: JohnnyRook is retiring
Good luck with what ever you decide to do with your time. WoW, like a lost of games can take a huge chunk of your life/time without really paying much attention to it - for me it was EQ. As mentioned, just leave JohnnyRook somewhere, as is, just in case. You never know when you might want to jump back on later down the track and be able to do something other than take out level 1 critters.
I'm so happy to hear you gained enjoyment and information/assistance from here, please feel free to still make use of the site, even if just to chat to people and keep in the loop. A friend of mine has been raving on about Tabula Rasa, so you never know, we might be able to chat about that! ![]() |

Re: JohnnyRook is retiring
Yeah. I think it would be a shame to get rid of Johnny. As you are saying you just never know. The next expansion may just be "OMG I have to play that"
I will no doubt be hanging around trolling a bit. Gotta do something at lunch times ... I suppose I could always actually do some work Oh .. and best of luck with the new family member Akasha Maybe with all my newly found free time I could get "busy" and start pumping out the kids ... lolRe tabula rasa, I played the Beta last week. Very nice IMO especially since its still beta. Definately shaping up to be a very fun game. And I get the impression it will be a lot less demanding on your time. less waiting for the ideal class composition to be online to raid and the hoping you get invited ... and more shooting stuff. Definately worth having a look when it comes out Oct 19 if you are looking for a change jR |
