Re: Warhammer
I will be playing for sure been following it for yet some time, ordered the CE around May I think it was.
I have played so many different classes at all different levels in WOW so if I could guess what class I willplay it will either be a white lion or Shadow Warrior. Warrior Priest and Eng would be nice for me to, overall I like to move around when I pvp standing still is a real bore for me. If anyone by chance missed this they did take out three classes about a month ago. |

Re: Warhammer
Small Update:
WAR will go live on 18.09.08. From 28.08.08 on you can Preorder the SE-PO Box in Europe for 3-5 days prePlay before Live-Day. Normal open Beta with "free for all" will not take place, but the NDA is expected to be dropped a few weeks before Live-Day. Those people with a Preorder for the CE-PO Box will automatically take part in the open Beta. |

Re: Warhammer
First impressions from open Beta are very nice - definitely not a disaster as AoC. So for those who are unsure if they want to give it a try i can recommend it - even if people decide to go to WoW when Wrath of the Lich King goes live - it will be a nice change till then.
Some impressions from me so far: 1) Tanks are good playable in PvP, well done ![]() 2) While it is balanced for PvP, the PvE part is not too small while levelling, nice and fun quests. 3) You come into action much faster - 2 hours playing and you are at lvl6 and have already more abilities than you can handle as a beginner. No long-time 2button-grind till your character feels usefull. 4) PvP can be joined from lvl1 on - and its fun even then, your level gets raised for the BG like the CoH sidekick-system. 5) Levelling to max level with many different BGs and myriad of quests will definitely be fine - question is if the endgame-content (RvR PvP) will be worth it. If not then its at least a nice change for 2-3 month. For those interested, i also got me Drakensang which i personally like a lot. When having playtime these days, its hard to decide for Drakensang or Warhammer, both is very nice. WoW is can not compete at the moment. WAAAGH! ![]() |

Re: Warhammer
When did EA take Sony online entertainment's place? Jeez. Yes that was meant as humor, I'm aware of EA; But even sony had its moments.
On that note the game is indeed very good, a PvP/RvR oriented game. End game consists of massive siege based RvR (that works). The beta is very fun and I have preordered. I'm sick of WoW's atrociously unbalanced PvP that favors 2 classes over all the other at any one given time. PvE no longer holds interest for me, been doing PvE since EQ1 and it is all old hat now. Pathing, DPS, tanking, aggro...you name it I've done it in EQ1, WoW and other MMOs. Last edited by Rleab; September 12, 2008 at 07:33 PM.. |
